I can send you a pic of the scores in the MP, Waspy.
I know that's not your point, but if they're useful for your records...

It's not worrying me but being so far away I am glad to have been able to access Independent scores every Saturday night. This has kept me up to date with how my old teams are going yet on the most important weekend of the season - nothing. I was lucky to catch a photograph of the post game scoreboard otherwise I wouldn't have known the score.
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

Anyone got an update on what's happening with the incidents at Lyrup the other week? Seems to be pretty quiet. When was it adjourned to?
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

Anyone see the news last night? Someone from Lyrup must have poked the bear and they got bitten big time. Time for them to leave the competition. Don't need crap like that going on.

I got up to Waikerie yesterday to see the B grade grand final between Loxton North and Renmark.
It was great to see Benny Williams' boys get up in style. The match was of really good quality, which was great to see.
Renmark looked to have control early and a goal before half-time would have seen them have a strong hold over the match in the premiership quarter.
Instead, the Panthers hung in there and after the break turned the game on its head.
Early goals were followed by a great defensive effort that gave the Rovers little. Jake Albrecht played the best game I have seen him play.
Mick Pannell was everywhere for the Panthers, while some of Callum Trifonoff's forward delivery was outrageously good - he really cut a swathe through the Rovers.
Renmark were never in the hunt after that and when, at the 10-minute mark of the final term, Michael Arnold marked easily in the goal square, dishing off to Josh Deren, who ran through for an easy goal (and in the process creating himself a new Facey profile pic), the game was done.
Adam Dunhill ensured it was totally done straight after, when he gave away a stupid 50 and then belted Deren, seeing himself departing the game (and doing so in pretty provocative fashion -what was he showing off as he pulled his shorts down?).
A further goal to Deren and an absolute belter from the boundary from Trifonoff sealed the deal.
It was North's first premiership in B grade since 1990 and really good reward for Willy - a champion bloke (his team played Ben Williams-style footy too, hard at the contest and nothing fancy).
I can't confirm this, but I was also told that the grand final was Dean Schumann's seventh (amazing that he's still playing), and he's lost all of them. That's a bit rough.

I left to return to Adelaide after the match, but the A grade contest was done and dusted with Waikerie up by five goals when I left in the first quarter.

Waikerie oval, as usual, was quality and it was hard to imagine that the quite a lot of the field was under water on Friday. Well done to the WFC on getting the oval into such good nick (I'm assuming the Loxton Waikerie Council may have had something to do with it as well) - it was a huge effort.

Yeah not cool from Dunny. Getting a bit of a rep for that sort of stuff now.
But also not cool from Trifonoff taunting him as he went off and then running away when Dunny came back at him.
Pissweak. Took away from what was a great game from him in my eyes. Never seen him play so well.

That's a fair call on Triff. At least JD copped it on the chin - although he didn't know it was coming.
Triff's game was amazing - some of those scything passes were pure quality. Hopefully he doesn't read this site.

Speaking of knob heads, is there any news on the Lyrup incident as yet?

Seems Dunhill's going to compound the mistake by contesting the charges?
Surely the club need to tell him to cop it on the chin (pun intended)?

Not really surprising I suppose given the tribunal's record.

They only given him a year? One win from a grand final. Bit harsh

Court hearing adjourned coz he hasn't got a Lawyer yet. What's he been doing? Also, the family clash with another group outside the court. Stay classy!
