Yes Dutchy, I have opened for the last two weeks. Did okay the first week but not so well last week. Do you know who I am?
He hasn't made as many runs as we would have hoped but I suppose we can't rely on him all the time. He did make 98 against Hahndorf.

While on cricket up there Dutchy, I see South Adelaide player Ben Warren has wasted no time in getting a word into the ear of one of his new teamates, with his new ball partner on the weekend for Langhorne Creek being one D. Cupido.

Agree with those sentiments Dutchy. I'm assuming one of the Association matches must have been played at Hahndorf on Saturday, as my mate who works for the Mount Barker Council said he saw a cricket match there and while B and C grade matches were still programmed, it is a clear stipulation in our association that if the forecasted maximum is 40 degrees or more, the round is supposed to be called off.

Back to the football, I'm hearing rumours that the Curnow (S**p*r*) brothers are going to lace them up again for Echunga this year. Will make them probably the only A graders in the Association that were born in the '60's and while they were fantastic players in their day, their days of being key components of a teams midfield are over.
Apparently Jimmy May wants to turn out for Meadows this season. Once again a top player but it seems a bit odd that he'd go there as the mates he had from over that way haven't been at Meadows for years but perhaps there was some fallout with Nairne in regards to the coaching position he held prior to the appointment of Mike Duncan.

ORD - not really any big story in Jimmy May's departure. Perhaps felt that, after a few years having a go at the role, the club hadn't taken the next step, although injuries in the 2004 prelim proved pivotal. They only had 16 or so fit men during the game, and only lost the match by 11 points, but hopefully May's expertise is used elsewhere.

Hope to catch up for that beer soon!

That's fair enough but as far as I'm aware, Fogden hasn't played at Marion for 4 years.
As for the rest of them, they must like it up there as they could earn more than they're getting if they played elsewhere.

Yes mate, he did. He certainly goes all right too. While our bowling attack wouldn't be as good as what he'd faced in his junior days (former Victorian U17 rep), just the sheer ferocity of his shots is something you don't see very often. Luckily we kept the damage from him to a minimum, he scored 41 . A sorry day at the office for us.
Cupido is a fairly brisk bowler as well and I'm due in next on Saturday so it will be interesting.

Ive heard of a central division hills team offering ridiculous amounts of money to get standard SFL players to jump on board this season.

Other than Bubbles call of Ironbank, would it be safe to assume that the club in question has a coach that coached in the SFL up until the end of last season?
