I think Hahndorf are the team to beat. But I think nearly all of the other sides have improved over the last 2 years and closes the gap. The competition as a whole is stronger and closer to where it was 5-10 years ago as the strongest country competition in the state. I think it’s definitely the deepest comp and on par with great southern now as the best. I don’t think Hahndorf are untouchable, I’ll be interested to see where their scoring output comes from. Maybe Jaensch goes forward? Luke Roberts is there but it’s like watching Riley O’Brien kick for goal….

Play HQ is a joke website to use
SAFooty.net, where you hear the community football news first

Seeing the team squad for the game isnt a PlayHQ issue, its the Clubs holding back their team sheet until right at the last minute. When the games start I think you will find the team sheet will appear.

Lofty def Blackwood by 19 points
Uri def Ironbank Bridgewater by 44 points
Lobethal def Echunga by 38 points
Hahndorf def Nairne by 23 points

Any truth to the rumor that the Echunga v Lobethal game was STOPPED during the match for 10 - 15 minutes due to excessive umpire abuse from a Lobethal Supporter ?

Nairne Bremer pushing the points limit round 2. Reckon they might have played someone as a zero pointer who should have been worth at least 1 but possibly 2

Speaking of points, how do Lobethal have 10 points to play with being they are the reigning premiers & Onkas get 13 for being wooden spooners.

Look like he has only played 4 games in last 2 years. Need to have played 5 games to be points??

Cracka I believe it works on the previous 3 seasons not just last. Onkas must have finished in the top 3, 3 years ago now and it’s effecting their points still.

No idea on the bloke that was 0 but they touched Uraidla up! Seen the score Saturday night and watched the replay, they were very good.

Oh, they've changed it back to the old system, based on wins from the previous 3 years. Last I knew it was based on just the previous years finishing position.

I’m not 100% certain but based on Onkas alone that would have to be the case?

One way traffic at Lobethal today, with the visiting Rams belting the reigning premiers, 20.17 to 5.4

Very surprising. Obviously the result against Uraidla wasn’t that outlandish… They looked very good on tv even though the stream quality was a bit dodgy. Lobey did well to shut the game down in the last, it could have been even worse.

Few interesting results this week!
Barker were up all day I hear and Blackwood came home with a wet sail? To be expected coming off a 4 day break and a long injury list for the Roos, they’re still having a crack.
Onkas beat Lofty at heathfield was surprising for me!
Ironbank nearly notched up their first win at Echunga as well… Maybe they aren’t that far off? Great to see them competing.
Hahndorf just on cruise control already.

Comp looks super even, just who will challenge Hahndorf?

Ironbank/Echunga game was pretty scrappy affair but with great intent from both teams, Ironbank played a loose defender however despite the close score didn't really look like they were going to win IMO

Ironbank certainly have a crack, considering they had there best player out in Grigg yesterday to was a solid effort. Might have some tough days against the best sides but certainly will have a crack. Issue may be if they get some injuries with Bs struggling with not alot of the lads from last years flag side playing and literally no bridgey b grade lads playing.
