You'd think matt would be pretty happy earning bulk coin where he is....

I find it interesting that you make that comment when you have absolutely no idea how much money is on!

As far as I am aware he isn't on that much, he isn't even their marquee player. I do know he did get his job through the footy club however, not that there is anything wrong with that.

We've had seasons where we've won FA games but haven't moved the coach on, one coach took us to a flag after a horror 1st season. If it's more to do with coaching/personal style and approaches that's different.

I thought he may have been given at least another season. Was Lobethal expected to be better than 1 win?

Going by the clearance page, looks like we've lost all our recruits from the last 2 years. Getting a few decent locals back though. Hopefully some big announcements to come [-o<

Has anyone heard anything more about possible teams merging into the HFL? ie; Flagstaff Hill or Happy Valley?

Not happening. At least it won't be in 2018, although with only 9 teams left in the SFL I'd imagine some clubs would be looking at options in the future.

After taking 30 years to get to the top of the SFL, Flaggies ain't going anywhere I'd suggest.

Lofty lost a few to CLG I see.

Rumour has Torrens valley can not get enough players on track and will be forced to fold.
I think this might send a Msg to the HFL, because I'm hearing there are a few other clubs in the same boat.
I think they might have to strip everything back and start again . Town sizes are a major concern.
Too many small clubs around can't and won't survive the way the hills is being populated.
The TPS makes it to hard to recruit for the unpopulated areas because of junior numbers coming through.
Once again a cap on junior numbers is required.
Just remember Mt Barker will have 60000 people over there in 10 years they all can't fit into one team.

I have been told Torrens valley have been given another 6 points.
Is cutting it back to one comp an option ? Unfortunate that some clubs will have to fold to do so. I don’t know bugger all about the comp but I’d be guessing that the clubs don’t want to fold.
Back to the creek it is.
