With paskevilles out, they’d want to hope Alex brown gets back to his best footy

Bute have done quite well I’m hearing. I know for a fact that they have picked up Aiden Holland (Sturt), Sam Davis (North Adelaide), Isaac Hampel (Mannum) for starters.

Hearing Wallaroo forward Sam Dyer trained with Wallaroo at the start of preseason but has since left and gone to Broughton. Big out, could play.

Solly has left the Eagles, it's becoming a defenders league.

Footy starting Saturday so here is my ladder prediction

Moonta: best side last year and was up by about 3 goals in GF with 10 minutes or so and lost. Even better side this year, no excuses
CMS Crows: won last year and roughly the same side.
Kadina: very competitive last year with their locals only team and with about 5-6 players coming in with league experience will see them improved dramatically
Maitland: also added very good players to the list they had last year, could be a Smokey for the flag.
Southern Eagles: apparently some players from the premiership a few years ago to add to an already strong side.

Bute: lost a lot but have a young and youthful side that will have a crack each week
Paskeville: lost a lot of top end talent that hasn’t been replaced, rebuilding
Ardrossan: Some players coming in as they do every year but I can’t see them improving unfortunately
Wallaroo: could go another season winless, hope they don’t but haven’t heard anything to suggest otherwise.

Premier: Moonta
Mail Medal: Angus Poole-Kadina
Leading goals: the Mummy(Scott Mumford)-Southern Eagles

No major surprises from the round one results.

Hearing all clubs had to deal with Covid isolation and cases.

Interested in the margins of Moonta over the Eagles and that Wallaroo got closer to CMS than expected, guessing Covid played a part.

At this stage I might go for a look but Kadina possibly be smashed with covid so it might not be as close as it should be. At full strength both clubs have a lot of top end talent but probably won’t see it tomorrow. Hope I’m wrong

Rumour from the Baz Fry shed (boozer at Kadina oval) on Saturday night,Tyson Goldsack to Moonta.
Brock Castree hasn’t played for them yet and now hearing Goldy, fair midfield if true.
Can’t see it myself as he works for Port on weekends but I guess we wait and see. Probably get enough games in to be able to play finals.
