Correct but it’s been a long time since then, 10-15 years me thinks.

Bit quiet on here for Late January! Sure most clubs have started or about to start preseason training?

Hearing Johno Lee and Zac Edwards off to the hills league
Moonta have 2 x back in Everett and Cross, have lost Miller, Wanganeen and Foster x 2
Ardrossan may lose Burnett to Darwin
CMS with a couple of handy ins
Eagles a dark horse?

Early ladder prediction

Moonta- lost a few and gained a few
Southern Eagles- retained and gained and were close last year
Paskeville- lost a few and gained a few and were also close last year
Ardrossan- big improvers last year and will push for a top 3 spot
CMS Crows- haven’t heard a lot but would expect them to improve on last year

Wallaroo- a few outs but also some good ins. Could push for a top five spot but I think they will just tread water somewhere in the middle
Kadina- lost everyone, President, coach and all the paid players. Complete reset
Maitland- mass exodus. Starting again
Bute- very young side last year and haven’t got any big names to add to the list. Another long year ahead

Leading goal kicking- Big Mummy Mumford- Southern Eagles
Medal- Heff (Abe Helfland) Paskeville

Overall I think the league will take another step backwards with some more good talent going out and not a lot coming in and also junior numbers are a massive concern with most clubs only having the bare minimum and some that won’t have sides at all.

Is the "good talent going out" locals or paid players from elsewhere?

Combination of the 2. Most clubs here play by the rules when it comes to player payments which means they don’t come into this league because they can get what they want in other leagues willing to pay overs.

When will the YPFL make clearances public? Why is this information considered sensitive? Making the clearances visible will generate some discussion for the league which can only be a good thing.

Never! It was raised at a league meeting that a club was struggling to attract new players because players can do some research on find how many players where leaving then thinking they won’t be any good so they wouldn’t sign with them. Basically hiding your having a mass exodus. It was voted on and it was shut down to the public.

What a bloody weak excuse, as if players don't know what's happening in the leagues through social media, word of mouth, plus you just need to look at previous ladder positions, performances, bloody piss weak excuse,

Plenty of words and not much information.
Can you actually name a few of the ins and outs?

At least I’m trying to get a conversation going on this dead forum.
I have heard of a few but with the clearance page closed it could just be rumours. I apologise for not being more comprehensive with the ins and outs.

As an administrator in another league it is very frustrating that leagues/clubs block people from seeing clearances, mayen an issue I’ll raise with people at the SANFL.
