Clubs do not deserved to be bagged for declining to play in these. I personally hated them as it disrupted my whole normal morning routine of getting a few things done before footy. I grew up playing country footy and I did my time playing games at ungodly morning timeslots, Adults should not be badgered into the same either especially when they could use the time better for the lives outside of footy.

Twlight games throw out the normal club after match routine of social events and the weather. For the volunteers it makes the day longer as they start earlier and who wants to stay behind to pack up when they have been there for 6 hours already??

All positive from my point of view, except when the ground is in poor condition and 3 games will wreck the oval for the day and weeks to come. Hard to work that out in advance though.

I think they are awesome but not on a weekly basis. Any club that has a struggling C Grade will find the 9.15 arrival time an enormous obstacle. Perhaps One or Two Home and Away each year would work well with the consideration of making one a twilight affair. I think it was already mentioned but it does give you a great opp to mix in some other events on the day. Last year V Broadies i think we through in a Ladies Day and a past players day. By 7pm the ladies even found the C Graders hot and sexy ;)

We played a few triple headers over the last couple of years but all of ours were around the other way and we played after the A and B grade games. This suited myself personally. I would be dead against playing C grade each week at 10:15 start. I am 32 and have two young kids, if I was required to get to a game at 9:15 each week it just wouldnt happen. Understand that the majority of sides are all for the triple headers but sides that dont want to cant be made to.

At heccies we have our C's at twighlight due to school footy in the morning! The c's benefit the most from it they get a big crowd watching (compared to noone when they play by themselves), and the A grade boys love watching some of the C grade icon players!!

In regards to getting player i think you find it alot easier to fill a team, players r more keen for these matches and u always have the chance of a B grade player having a match rest to fill in if they short

Good idea or passing trend?

Pros and Cons?

What do A and B grade players think of them?

Will playing at 10.15am every week cause players to eventually turn away?

Is it easier/harder to get volunteers?

Is there more money to be made - bar, canteen, bbq?

Fantastic idea.

All Pros, there's no cons that I can think of.

They're great, love watching our C's play at night.

Maybe I'm not sure, if we have a triple header our usually C's play after us and I know that the C graders much prefer the later game compared to the earlier game.

Without a doubt, so much easier.

Absolutely. If it's a home game triple header the club certainly makes more money and then more again if we have a band playing or show that night.
