Interesting that the Labor Party Thebarton Oval media release mentions that funds have already been allocated and nothing on being re elected.

So which is the case? Labor just announced it to make themselves look good or does it require Labor to get back into Government?

I see the current President has put the $6.6m down as one of his "achievements"
I also remember him telling the delegates it wasn't a election promise but money in the bank
Now hes ringing clubs telling them only he can get the money
WTF! Talk about porky pies and a moving target :^o
But, then again, Im sure hes a major friend of the liberal party

This will NOT happen!

Lack of "interest" from the Fed Govt. now that it has changed to Liberal will see this disappear as quickly as it was given.. May have needed some follow up from within the four walls too which I doubt happened.

Yes it will in 3 1/2 years time. Mark my words plus it is a swing seat which the Liberals narrowly won money will poured in there in the run up to the next election.

Appendix A: Policy decisions taken since the 2013-14 Budget

Thebarton Oval Redevelopment Project - contribution reversal

2013-14 -$4.6 Million
2014-15 -$2.0 Million

Total $6.6 Million

The Government will achieve savings of $6.6 million over two years by not proceeding
with the funding for the Thebarton Oval Redevelopment Project - contribution measure
announced in the Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Outlook 2013

The savings from this measure will be redirected by the Government to repair the
Budget and fund policy priorities
