Valleys had some missing yesterday and that didn’t go unnoticed. It’s a tough time of the year for every club to get something near their full contingent on the park. We had 9 players in our 1’s yesterday that had returned over the last 2 weeks after the Salisbury game. You could see some of them needed a run last week but yesterday you could see what the extra players bought to the team. Hopefully we’ll get a few more back in coming weeks and we can keep improving going in to finals - Since the Eastern Park game we have been shuffling a lot of changes every week.

Looking over your side last week, not too many missing to come back? I count maybe 3 or 4? All your prime movers and goal scorers are there though..

You could just be right Bedge. I guess we’ll all see in coming weeks. Looking forward to seeing the game this weekend. I’m bringing SAFooty friends along too. One is even getting a Tram to the game that’s how keen he is!

Missing last week:
Flanigan
Gane
Moore
Van Den Bos (Is he in the best 21 though?)

Also looking over the injury for Moser - that was back in Rd 3.. how long does a broken leg take to heal? 14 weeks? That would put him around the mark for a Rd 18 return.. enough to qualify for finals too! :-k

Certainly worrying signs for opposition teams - you've managed to get through a tricky period and now with finals insight appear to be starting to wind up again.

No fluke last week, regardless of who HV may have been missing - it's an accurate indication of how far ahead you are.

Cuppla really big games this round.. Pulteney v Kenilworth obviously due to ladder position, but I think the Hope Valley v Salisbury Sat night game will be viewed with greater interest - if the Magpies can get up, you'd almost have to pencil them in for a finals spot... a Demons victory would keep them in the box seat for a top 2 finish.

The other game which will be interestign will be Lockleys vs Rosewater - the Dees wouldn't want to drop this one on the road to the Dogs who will have their tails up following a couple of much needed confidence boosting wins.. If Lockleys lose, they'll miss the 5.

Blowing numbers wouldn’t be the only blowing going on in the South Parklands...

That's big. Gives Kenilworth a two game gap to second. Also gives Pulteney a chance to fight for 2nd.

Interesting few weeks to come.

Salisbury ain’t finished yet and neither are Smithfield. There are some handy teams sitting mid table who will cause big issues to anyone who plays them for the remainder of the year.

On a side note - What is the official rule for still being behind the goal line when kicking out from full back? Saw it happen on more than one occasion today - Should it be awarded a behind or called back to be kicked again?

What about the playing on from fullback from a behind and being called back because the umpire hasn’t “all cleared” it despite a clear point!?

Good unit Kenilworth. Well better than good. Don’t think they’re the caliber of CBC last year but they have some absolute jets who can turn it on when they want. Blew the game open in the second and that was all she wrote.

Some very interesting games over the next 2 weeks especially. Hope Valley @ Smithfield will be close and Salisbury v Pulteney could go either way. If Smithfield even lose 1 more game from here they look potentially done for as you’ll need at least 10 wins to get in. Salisbury v Lockleys Rd 18 could very well decide who gets 5th spot.

EPFC are not on any sanctions and will not lose any points.

Craig Wilson is doing a great job as president and the league is fully aware of what he and the club are doing to try and improve the club in all areas.

The player in question will not be playing for the club again.

Absolute scenes I hear.

Ball was kicked out of a stoppage, flew toward the boundary, siren went. Bit of confusion as to whether it was paid out on the full or not. Umpires deemed the siren went as the ball was still in play, and called time. Another second or two and Valleys would've had a shot to win it.

Huge crowd, lights were great, clubrooms were packed after the game when I went in for a drink. Great setup out there at HV.
