CDJFL & NEMJFA Merge?

Yeah, Michael. It seems the younger the teams are the more unpredicable the results can be.

Gullies absolutely flogged our 11's in a trial match a couple of weeks before we met them in a 'real' match and it was the reverse.

The Roys, Ingle Farm, Pooraka and Athelstone seem to be the teams to beat, and PNU are improving.

Our Under 11's are all pretty young and tiny, for 11's, but they have a good time, regardless of the result.

It's been great fun for our U9-U10 team competing in the U11's and a surprise they've got a couple of wins against real U11 teams.

The Roys u11's side this year is the best junior side to come out of the club since the 2005 u15's.
Clint's got the boys playing really good teamwork, it's near the same side that struggled a couple of years ago when they were playing different positions every week, my lad played with them as a 5yo in under 8's & he still got a shot in the centre when his time came.
Just goes to show ...................

Actually, have to own up. While there is an Under 9, (who's way, way too good for Under 9's), and 2 rather tall Under 10's, our 11's are all U/11's except for the two Under 9's who are there as reserves. Unfortunately the captain and tallest player, Corey Hamill, (nephew of an injured St Kilda player and about the same size!), has moved to Qld. There is a player, though, who shall remain nameless, who is a real chance to win the NEMJA B&F, after having only played 2 games of football in his life before this year. And BOG in both. Our Under 13's, who are reasonably competitve, are demanding that this kid plays for them. Won't happen again, although he has twice and blitzed them.

Well done to the Roys Under 11's. Fantastic team, well coached and seem like nice kids too.

Geppies weren't in the game until it was totally over at 3/4 time and Ollie, who copped a knock below the eye in the first quarter, came back on. At least we kicked a couple of goals in the final term, both by an Under 9 who raced down to Fitzroy after his game at Gepps. We welcomed 2 new boys, Aaron and Zane to the team and they did well in their first game.

Hope Valley at Gepps this Sunday will be a chance to rebound, I hope.

Hoope Valley should be in the lower division as they lost to Athelstone 140-0

Told you that you'd even up in the 15's. Good side that, not over tall or big but play some great team flowing footy.

Kerros lot are going ok, should be a good one. Youngest is having a run in the 10's so I'll be hanging around till the 15's.

Actually he was runner-up in the Association Under 11 medal count, got that one wrong!
But he played all Under 13 finals, including the premiership in which he kicked one of the best goals we've seen for years. Running at full pace from deep in the pocket. Gave the 13's some momentum and demoralised the opposition. Also made the Association team after just 2 games for footy. Played at full-back. Not ideal for a kid who runs 100m in 13.7 secs while bouncing the ball! Better on the wing.
