yep, many of us knew it would be coming but it didnt make it any easier to hear. There is a great video shared on our members Facebook page where he let the players know and he was humble till the very end. An incredible footballer and sportsman but most of all a great bloke that galvanised the club through tough periods and led the charge in successful periods.

I will forever be that annoying bloke at the bar telling future generations of players just how good he was, but i dont think any of them will truly ever understand.

Close game at half time Athelstone 35 Sharks 34 - next minute.....

Raggies went bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang - 7 goal third quarter to sharks 2 goals - game over

And again 5 goals to 3 in the last

12 goals to 5 goal second half boom!!

--no footage as yet

========================================

In the other game, Goody Saints by a point over Flinders Park, almost a big upset there.... sort of - 7 points down at the final siren the Flinders Park fella got a shot a goal to make it the shortest of margins... Slightly amusing on the video...

I went and had a good look at the raggies Henley game.
2 contrasting styles. Henley looked pretty dangerous early with their pace. The ball movement was very quick.. But the fwd power of the raggies and the stronger bodies got them across the line in the end. Their defence held up quite well too. The 2nd half was all raggies. Bang bang bang bang as they say.
Next weeks game between the top 2 will be a cracker.

Disappointing that both Henleys B’s and C’s have to travel to TTG when the A Grade are at home. But that’s the way it’s worked out. Hopefully they can get the job done and get back and support the A Grade
