4 players from Salisbury Nth in the side so don't know if your mail is right on this one.

Clubs notified yesterday, 3 from Gepps Cross I believe, Smith, Allocca and Challen, which is interesting as Challen was not in the nominated players

Chris Clonan bit hard done by?

Understatement of the year...I'd have Clonan in my side before all three of the others....
Harsh but fair.....

TEAM OF THE YEAR in each grade   how pathetic!

Have also heard apparently some of the coaches are pissed off. Some reckon a guy called Al Williams, came to see them and showed them his TEAM OF THE YEAR - they said he has no idea and has not even got guys at the right end of the field.

Disgraceful surely some people get paid enough to think of your own ideas

and how he hell would they know what goes on in the lower grades i thik they may aswell scrap the idea as i believe it will just turn in to a laughing stock.

Laughing stock alright, its something that requires time & thought from the opening minor round game to the last, not when the League 1st hears of it happening in the Footy Budget late in the year & now is just trying to out do the budgets idea.
I have no-doubt the Budgets Team Of The Year will out- do any team the Sportsbeat or 5RPH come up with.
I know for a fact their are some insiders working hard for ( Sortsbeat & 5RPH ) to find out a little of the Budgets team no-doubt coz they know nothing about the comp their supposedly promoting  quite embarrassing really!
A certain person is definately making a fool of himself at Amateur House trying to compete when this Football Budget, they should be working alongside each other as the editor from the Budget has always wanted.

Always plenty of debate about these teams. Can't say i agree with Challen at CHB or Butler even in the team. But hey, i'm not a selector.

Not too sure about that! Scott Challen has played all but 2 games at CHF so being selected at CHB throws your idea out the door!!!

The story about the team did say that CHB was the hardest to pick and also that he played CHF as well.

Who do you think should have been picked at CHB?

I have stated before that i think Stevens from Broadview has been probably the form CHB of the last 3 or 4 years and from watching him this year has had another good year. Mc Gregor and Spencer are the others but have had a injury riddled year. The bloke from ROCS, Burch i think his name is looked to go ok this year too. I would have thought they would have picked one of these guys and played Challen on the bench as a back up CHF if they looked seriously at the team.

Who' asking them to bow?
I just thought its for the benefit of Amateur Football in the end, isn't that what the Leagues about? We know what book is the best by far so support it & work with it instead of copying it for the silly sportsbeat.
C'mon Punk its obvious someone has his nose out of joint at Amateur house with the budgets editor.

Shane Harris for Henley was very unlucky not to be picked in the sportsbeat team of the year for 2008.
I'd like to know what the selectors look for when they select a side?
Shanes a bloke that goes about his business with no fuss & 9 times out of 10 he comes out in front of his opponent.
He might not have a name like the selectors look for but 9 times out of 10 he certainly delivers.

Smart, Young, Grocke, Reidy, Slater, Pederson, Gates - i dont think the selectors chose name players this year!..... Though got to give credit where credit is due with the name players that were chosen, were the best players this year, Cutting, Jordan, Coard, Smith, Turner.
