He a percentage from Sponsors and Sporting Goods licences which is a cock up anyway because we could not get jumpers and shorts for R1. Dont tell me he gets money from fines as well. What money is this guy on??? - does anyone know what he gets?????. Bloody scam if he gets money form jumpers and s***t, sponsors and finess. Any one know what he gets

Every year you hear the same story about licensees not able to supply on time and a lot of it is because clubs don't order the jumpers etc. early enough. Poor organisation by some clubs really.

CC, back in ur box chocolate.
We ordered our jumpers in November. 2 senior sets, 6 junior sets and have only received 1 senior set so far that we had to pick up on the morning of round 1.

I'd be suggesting you change your supplier if that's the case Ash. I just happen to know a good one, 4-5 weeks for jumpers, shorts & socks, problem is, they are not a licensee of the SAAFL
The whole licensing thing is a money raising excrcise anyway, in principal it should work but it won't because most of the local licensees are not organised or structured well enough to be able to cope with the workload over the short period that clubs have available to them. Committee changes, sponsors etc all impact on the timeframe that clubs have to get organised which makes life tough, no supplier wants to hold excess stock of shorts/socks so it's a matter of either changing the way it now is by lodging complaints with the League or putting up with the inconvenience and waiting. It's up to the clubs to have their say!/quote]

As the design of our guernsey is quite complex we went to the same supplier that did them last time as they already had the design and I beleive may have designed it in the first place.
Just a bit disappointed with it all and one of the colours came out wrong

Ash, your original design was done by Jax, they no longer have an SAAFL license so unless the jumpers they've done for you this season are junior jumpers, they should not have done them. It's now very easy to copy designs, it's done all of the time.
If Jax has done your senior jumpers this year you'd best look out for the style police from the SAAFL because Jax are no longer a licensed company for SAAFL playing apparel.

Forgot to add, didn't think it was too hard to get royal blue & red correct but the Chinese are all colour blind so it's not the first time footy jumpers made offshore have come back the wrong colour. Buy local, at least you've got a chance!

"JAX", just how much does the Amateur League owe them.
You may find thats why they are no longer licenced with the SAAFL.
If the League looked after their sponsors you'd find they'd be still licenced, not the other way around.

But at least Shadiac gets paid every month. That's the main thing.

NM, I think it might be the other way round with the money. Not sure if the case has been settled but the SAAFL were in courts because Jax hadn't paid the license fee of $24K from the 2006 season. My understanding of the argument is that Jax management didn't feel they got enough business out of clubs to warrant paying the total amount so refused to pay.

Cop this for a classic!

On Saturday our C grade umpire took crook at the game, no replacement was available so after a discussion with the Uni umpire, it was decided (he was in agreeance)that he would umpire solo and we paid him our share of the fee to do the job. He was okay about it at the time but now we've copped a $500 fine for not supplying an umpire.
There's a big fight coming up over this, believe me![/quote]

The big fight never eventuated, a simple letter of explanation was enough to have the SAAFL reverse their decision and cancel the imposed $500 fine. Just goes to prove, there is a Father Xmas after all and he can read!
