Footy Budget "Teams of the year"

Postby boozehound » Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:44 am

The budget writers teams of the year will be released on Tuesday this week. Should make for some interesting debate.

My tips for players from our club (Eastern Park) to be in it would be S. Gatto, C. Taylor and A. Wilson at VERY least for the div 2 team. Would be shocking of those players missed out.

What's peoples thoughts on their divs team?

That sounds probably about right BH. Gatto & Taylor certains, Wilson didnt do alot against us both times but he sounds like he had a fair year. Hamilton seems to kill us every time, could he be a chance?

Chadd Sayers & Keiran Johnson will be our only two i would think, if they're lucky.

Yeah Wilson played at CHF for most of the year and finished 2nd in the goal kicking. Don't see how he could miss out in a six man forward line.....Tommy Flex hamilton would have to be right amongst it too. had another great year. Them four would be very close.

Div 6, I'd say a few from the Lodge will make it, possibly Bellman, Sibbick, Hayes, Walton, Payne, Alridge, Verbis, Scott. Just to name a few ;)

Wat a joke, No A Wilson, S Gatto on bench and Craig Taylor our only other representative. Absolute joke...shit effort by div 2 selectors....Keiran Johnson on a half forward flank and vice captain?? WTF. Good player on a wing maybe but wouldn't think leadership material. Parker got a gig without leaving the square.....

Would think Wilson should be a certainty not only for the golas he kicked but the ones he set up. It was almost like if the ball went through his hands EP would score.

Quite a few anomalies in the two versions of the Div 1 teams of the year.
I'm thinking there can't possibly be that much difference in the thoughts of the selection panels to have so many points of difference between the teams.
I wonder why!
