It is an opinion that the oval will never have major works carried out to the surface, due to to the old Adelaide City Baths being buried there, & therefore they cannot remove anything.
My uninformed opinion suggests they could build up the outer areas of the Oval, but unless the Sportsground falls into the City of Enfield, I cannot see them (CoCS) being interested in doing anything but the bare minimum....
