Lucky it wasn't one his cryptic clues threads or we would still be trying to guess which club needs the help.

No, don't do that, Esteban will not be happy with you spreading that around, not a lot of people are aware he has the problem.

Please advise when the transaction is complete.

Thank you in anticipation.

As a writer in the Footy Budget. The Real one that is.
We had a meeting today with all the writers and have decided to give a 100 quid to Ovingham
plus a FREE page to support all of their Sponsors, so they can earn money. We have decided
as a group to help the Ovingham FC and support the great work of Dennis Gregory and Eddie
Bevan from the Gepps Cross Football Club in making sure that Ovingham is saved from disbandoning.

What a great job that Dennis and Eddie have done in saving the club and we as the writers in the Budget
support Hosie in his quest to ensure Ovingham remain in the Competiiton. We will be offering the Ovingham
Football Club both $100 quid from the Footy Budget plus a Full Page both this year and next to support their
Sponsors. We are hoping that Ovingham will make in excess of a Thousand Bucks from this free page and the
ability to give a free advert to all Businesses who wish to sponsor this 100 year old club.

While we at the Footy Budget offer this money and page to the club - we hope that the SAAFL also can match
us in supporting the Ovingham Football Club. For god sake with all the money they make at the SAAFL the
least they can do is support Ovingham with a full page to put their Sponsors on a page to make money for the club.

If such a small organisation as the Footy Budget can offer money plus a full page to the Ovingham Football
Club, you would hope that the SAAFL would put all of their old thoughts aside and join together with us to
support the Ovingham Football Club.

We hope the SAAFL not only take away the fines from Ovingham but also contribute in a financial sense.

If Hosie and the Budget can offer a full page and money then certainly both Shadiac and Porter can give
100 bucks each and a page in the SAAFL publication.

Great work to Dennis Gregory, Eddie Bevan and all the boys at the Footy Budget in supporting this great cause.

2nd that....all blah blah blah....im sure the SAAFL will take reasonable steps to try and help Ovies which they have started to do in reducing the fines. At the end of the day it will be up to Ovies to help themselves which they have started to do and will need to continue to do for the remainder of this year and next year and the one after.....

This has been done to assist Ovies, not for any personal gain or accolades, so please think about the positive outcome we are looking to achieve. As was quoted before, they lack experienced people to ensure the club is functioning properly, that's all we are doing for them based on many years of experience doing similar.

i think its fantastic the support ovies are getting from the SAAFL world, and its commendable to see everyone banding together to help..

.. HOWEVER with the exception of nuggety goodness, doesnt seem to be much coming from ovies in terms of players and members diggin in, almost seems like they want to sit back and let others fix their problem for them... GET OFF UR A** AND HELP YOUR CLUB U SAY U LOVE!!

turn it up boys! (old moz, EddieV and Keepitreal)

here's the budget boys tryin to lend a hand and you go shootin them down for it. i just spoke to Luke and we will get a page for this year and all of next year for us to use for sponsors and we will be getting all the income from it. the budget aren't getting anything from it, so how is it 'self serving crap?' they're sacrificing income to do us a favour. and so what if it is St. Footy Budget... what's so wrong with them tryin to help out?

we need more like them i reckon, bring on the Saints!!!

Do Ovingham play on the Oval on Churchill Rd??

I played Cricket on there once and i think it was Prospects 2nd or 3rd ground.

If it is that oval that i'm thinking of, does Prospect DCC pay a fee to use your oval?

i think it's the council that owns the oval and they do with it what they wish, we can't charge anything. i think this is the case anyway...

NG, not shooting them down for lending a hand . just the way they have gone on about it. should just give the cash and the 'free page' offer and that's it. didn't have to throw out the challenge to anyone else to match it and turn it into a pissing competion.

Until you know what went on within the club its best you not get ahead of yourself and be over opinionated. Alot of membership was not paid yes but when no one knew where there membership was going can you blame them.

i think it's a great thing, trying to stir people into action.... just cos it's a challenge doesn't make you responsible to do anything but it can come across like this...

'well if they can do something then so can i'

it must also be said that with getting 2 teams, alot of players were ring-ins, alot didnt train so it should have been expected that alot would not pay up or be true to there club. im sure there are plenty of clubs with a worse percentage of players paying fees and there still going strong. What happened at ovingham was muchly behind closed doors and we are all very greatful of those who have gotten on board
