Was looking forward to rockets response. Considering he was so against any other club making mistakes. Chics lost 8 points and didn't stop that train. However we were pretty Fricken good.
Honest mistake by the sounds but going on precedence the league love the power and will throw the book with out listening.

What on earth do you mean without listening?

League will go through every single point with you if you engage before the season.

Think you'll find old Chairman Phil dobbed himself in in 2012 (and needs to watch out for Judge Dart in 2016 if i understand correctly)

I don't get how you can make such a mistake? Aren't the points listed next to the players names on the team sheet? would have thought anyone could add up to 15

From my understanding, a letter was sent to the League for clarification on the allocation of points of a couple of players in the week prior to the first game. No response was given by the league, so the interpretation was that the players were good to go at 2 points instead of 3. That's what I've heard anyway.

Would have thought if you were waiting for clarification you'd at least make a phone call.

Its not like John or Tony are hard to get hold of

Obviously hard enough to not get back to them.

Perhaps you could post a copy of said letter on here for all to see

From my understanding, there was misinterpretation. It seems they thought that said players were only 2 points instead of 3 points because they played more games for Gepps in 2014 than Jervois in 2015.

Anyhoo, lesson learned, the points have been lost and they had a good win yesterday.

Theyre not the first and probably wont be the last to get it wrong.

Play on, i say...

thought such letter would be confidential between Broadview Football Club and the SAAFL

At the end of the day if fox sports pulse is used correctly these anomalies won't happen.

Get all footy with points ramifications (including college) on sports pulse and the system should take care of itself.

My understanding is that this is high on the CFB's and League's agenda

I would have thought so to TT, but it no longer is
Citycoaster has made public the (alleged) existence and contents of the letter, and the events surrounding it.
From what he's alleging, he must have got the story from Broadview or he's making it up

Wouldn't have thought asking for clarification would have been confidential........ Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, was just trying to shine some light on the situation from what I had heard.

It can get tricky working out the points and the points themselves do not always appear on the team-sheet after they are updated on SP. A couple of areas that can be improved that's for sure. I don't have the answers, just whinging. :-)

Can someone elaborate on the "complex issues" Ben Hook wrote about this morning?

The rules seem relatively straightforward?

Scotch O.C. broke thru for their first win in 49 years at Broadview last Saturday having last won there in 1967

A very happy Geoff Heard after the game

1967 Scoreline 22/07/1967

Scotch O.C. 13.6 (84)
Broadview 4.7 (31)

Wonder what other current clubs have had droughts at other clubs grounds

Hoping someone from Scotch O.C can give me #14's stats from Saturdays game against PHOS, seems he had more cheap shots than possessions!

Was really impressed with Portland's travelling support on Saturday, more specifically the fact that I saw a majority of their B grade hang around and support the A's. Its never easy to hang around after being on the end of a 20 + goal loss. A few years back our reserves went through a similar patch of being on the end of some hidings so I certainly know how it feels. shows the dedication those lads have to their club.

Out of curiosity, are there many boys playing for Phos that are Plympton High (or whatever the school is called now) old scholars?
Similarly, are there many St Michaels old scholars that play for smosh?

Also, what would the policy be for claiming these sorts as 0 pointers? (I can't be bothered reading up the old scholars rules....)

Plympton high changed names years ago and there aren't to many footballers coming out of there. Our 0 pointers come from our juniors.

25 games for the school for the old scholars to claim them as a zero pointer

Am I correct in thinking that St. Michael's is a collection of schools that come under the same umbrella?
