so I'm guessing your respect level also would've been zero if the game had gone ahead and half of your club got infected

I agree with that but surely if they are cancelling the seniors they are also cancelling the juniors given the risk comes from a school.

In light of a heightened awareness of some potential COVID-19 activity at Roma Mitchell Secondary, The Ingle Farm Football Club have made a precautionary decision that must be respected if not applauded to withdraw their Senior Teams from competition this week whilst the dust settles.

What a crock of shit. Using COVID-19 as an out to avoid a belting.

Ingle Farm - we care about the safety of our community.
Also Ingle Farm - we will host a full day of Junior football Sunday.

Do they have players attend that school, didn't the infected person only attend a small after hours class?

In regards to the Ingle Farm situation, I've changed my mind.. it's super serious when you start talking about COVID.

Their withdrawal shouldn't be just for this week.

At a bare minimum they should have to sit out/observe the 14 day period before being considered to play again.

That leaves two rounds, and their non-playing will have impacted the integrity of the competition.

Ingle Farm should not be allowed to resume this season.

Well if 14 days is the "quarantine" period everyone is expected to meet, and Ingle Farm believe to have come into contact with a potential case.. surely 14 days minimum seems reasonable. ;)

As symptoms don't always come on straight away, If they believe there is a risk for a potential contact then the opposition they played last week would be considered close contacts and would need to quarantine for 14 days

You haven't really changed your mind have you? You've just called them (him) out on the decision.. .... and rightly so.

Was told today the President pulled the game and hadn't even discussed it with the senior coach.
