Well guys - looks like I am the first PAOCFC poster on this link. I look forward to the banter over the next 12 months.
I have just read 25 pages to get acquainted with the posters
Yes, we were gutted about not going back to D3 but, frankly, we were soft when it mattered. I saw it from the start - too many pretty boys. It wont happen again in 2008.....
I have been with PAC for 30 years - have to say D4 was enjoyable but an experience I want to limit to 2 years
Some goss:
Yes - the Roo will play for us next year and maybe another ex-Crow
Negotiating with a Full Forward that will raise a few eyebrows - and it isn't Barry Hall
Signed an ex VFL player to sit in one pocket and help the new FF - Waltham in the other
Not sure what is happening with the Byrners yet but looks like they will stay - crap when your brother breaks your wrist! Still cant believe how few votes Ryan Byrne got in the medal - absolute joke around the club. Maggots will be maggots

Still need a ruckman!!! Any big blokes need a scholarship for their sons? Counts you out Felch....
dedja: Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Hard to say this early on, but if u look at season '08 we came back up to Div 4, missed the finals by 2 games but were competitive & lost 6 games by under 2 goals but did have a strong finish to the year, had 2 x 1 point games (1 x win/1x loss) against Portland who went onto win the premiership, If we dont play finals we will be very disappointed!
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

I thought you guys were in discussions with Jason Baylis? Has that ended. I think Marion are very keen on him too...
Baylis is a very good ruckman, won the B & F at Jervois last year and Encounter Bay the year before, is very mobile for a big guy.

Hey Pag no it is not Kev, its Terry that is known as that down our way but both Terry & Kev are also the coaches for the SAAFL U/18's inter league side mate!
Yeah mate, I played under both of them in a couple of those sides, good guys.

Teaoby, i actually agree with Jimmy. I dont think Dalwood was in the top few ruckman in D4 in 2008. He wasnt better than our 2 (Perkins or Vessali), or Hardy from Mitcham, or Wattsy, or bloke from Pooraka with the beard (cant think of his name).

id agree with you on your 2 lads felch, in the final at least. he didnt ruck the first time you played each other and didnt play at all the 2nd, but he was certainly beaten in the final (but to be fair had to go most of the day by himself) as for the others he was well over them during the year imo but im sure he'd be the first one to have another big bloke do most of the work so he can slot into the half forawrd line.
hes very dangerous when he goes forward but didnt get a chance this year.

also back to jimmy's post who is the lad from the VFL?? hadnt heard about that one

i cant really rememebr PAC's ruck man
but if he is up there with the better ruck mans of last year
having him combine with another quality ruckman could pose some problems
especially if he is dangerous up forward like teaboy says
having 2 good ruckmans in so valuable as was seen this year in us.
we didnt loose anything in the ruck no matter who was contesting!

Dalwood should be on a wing - we need a ruckman or 2

I see Golden Grove as the big problem next year - I hear they have scored a good ruckman

Yes we sure have scored a great ruckman. Played for GX last year in Div 1. Brother of our A grade captain. Been trying to get him for years but the Application to teh Govt for funding to pay for him was getting rejected...
