So much for grand final preview. Bring on GOlden Grove, that will be more indictive I think.

HAHAHA!! Will take the compliment but dont think we are quite ready to knock off Greenacres yet. We are still trying to settle our side through injuries and other things. We havnt had our best 21 on the park yet. Dont take that as a pump up of tyres or an excuse if things fall ill. Do the best with what we have got.

Must consider although we are winning we are not playing at all well. Id be confident in saying that the 1st 1/4 yesterday was the worst we have seen since Mitch has been at the club. Training has been poor standard the last few weeks and we just seem to be going through the motions. 29.29 (or whatever is was) is poor finishing. Hoklas played his first one yesterday after a stellar year last year in the FWD pocket and kicked 1.7. Just one example. Some guys reading too much into a trial win against salisbury??? Taking it a bit for granted?? Maybe??? Lots of work needs to be undertaken to sure up the points against elizabeth.

A few out this week. Tuckwell with a knee (not serious) and Sparnon is getting his wisdom teeth pulled. Still, we have should three wiser heads come straight back in. The big names there being Brown and Charlton. Interestingly Norwood have the bye the week of the GG V Greenacres game. Should give us a few extras to slot in ;-)

Definitely thought Brown was GG's most important and influential player last season. Shepherd would have been half the player he was if Brown wasn't playing. Brown was the Scott West of DIV 6 last year. If you can stop him ur halfway to beating GG.

Is brown the left footer that always ducks his head even if no one is around him with the ball? Long sleeves?

Yeah, Browny is the left footer that is always ducking and weaving. Won our B&F last year. Sheppard a close 2nd. Ill admit browny provides us with lots of in and under but we have plenty of depth to fill the void when he is not there.

Dont think its a very fair call to say Sheppard wouldnt have been half the player he was without brown. Yes brown is very good but Shep won alot of his own ball last season and was a very damaging player, even when brown was not playing. Association medals dont come easily.

To his credit, in his first year on any type of footy at a league club he has been handed the u/19's captaincy at centrals and should be playing very reserves soon. Very good player doing good things for himself.

Round 3 Tips

Greenacres vs Blackfriars
Rosewater vs Ingle Farm
Elizabeth vs Golden Grove
Central Utd vs Smithfield
Plympton vs Kenilworth

Looks a bit straight forward this round, there's bound to be an upset, Elizabeth maybe??

browny is one of the best players i have played with at modbury. Skiniest but toughest also. he is still good enough to play a higher div but aslong as he gets a bourbon straight after the game he is happy. never seen a guy give so many handballs out of a pack

Know one has forgotten you boys. We have already singled you guys out as the most important game of the next month. Lets face it, all the big hype is around greenacres and rosewater and we are expecting to go in as big underdogs (especially with the injuries we seem to be racking up ATM). We see you blokes as a very dangerous obstacle. Our performances against you could be the difference between a double chance or battling to make the 5.

I was told today that some Adelaide based Tailem Bend players are training with Kenilworth sometimes and that if they didnt train with them last night Kenilworth wouldnt have had enough to do anything. Numbers a big problem?

not exactly correct but pretty close hawk..they just started training with kenilworth last night and last night WAS a very bad night for numbers ..they had 6 tailem boys and about 16 kfc i was told..normal numbers on a tuesday would be around 25 and up to 35 on thursdays..no secrets here..about a dozen a graders were unavailable to train last night for various reasons b grade coach told me..it shows in the results..fully competitive with rosewater and smithfield but just blown away after half time..was funny seeing bondy without his long sleeve guernsey last week :)

smithfield not a bad side..missed taylor i guess on the weekend but still to strong when it counted and kicked 5 goals to none in last 1/4..i think the young kookas gave them a bit of a scare before half time tho

lol..its not like kenilworth invited them out..they asked to train there so they didnt have to travel 90 minutes each way to tailem bend on a tuesday night, its absolutely no skin off our nose if they train or not, we know matty dent and he asked us to do him a favour..which would you rather do?

Settle Zedman its not my opinion, i dont give rats what they do. All i am doing is asking if Kenilworth were stuggling. 8)

why is it a touchy subject?..i told you the numbers..and i also said we have no secrets to hide..your trying to make an issue out of f**k all..kfc has been on tough times for the last 2 years since they went up to div 5..nothing has changed..everyone at the club is fully aware that they have a fight on their hands to stay in div 5..difference is that you suddenly think its "news"..its yesterdays fish and chip paper hawk :)..but thanks for the best wishes
