Lost by 15 pts after being 7 goals down at 3/4 time.

Still a waste of time should be open age.

Best players of the league

Mediocre players getting a state jumper who shouldn't who can't handle the pressure week in and week out. Just getting a game because they are under 23 not on ability.
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

It actually wasn't a bad game. Mediocre is a touch harsh but it is fair to say there was a lot missing from Sa's potentially strongest line up

I agree WW....Unlike the players who made themselves unavailable in lieu of having the week off (and they are entitled to make that choice)....I give respect and credit to the blokes who had "dip" on Saturday. Pretty sure if FE's call for an open age comp was played, there still would have been gaps in SA's strongest line up.....along with mediocrity and pressure etc etc........The only thing mediocre here is some of the commentary.....

Yeah not sure why FE keeps harping on about it - I mean sure, we could pull of out of the U23 comp, but then we'd have no one to play.

The u23 concept isn't our call to take away and you know that

Mediocre commentary, are you referring to this forum or the commentators on Saturday....Perhaps a little from column A and a little from column B ;)

The state games I remember watching when we put our best 20 on the ground v Victoria we used to get beaten easily more often than not. SA amateur comps both city and country are streets behind Victoria and both states play under the same rules. Can't see the argument being valid in putting the leagues best players forward.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

So in the SAAFL news volume 14 it claims ther was 'a good crowd of over 500'.

From the reports Im hearing there would of been lucky to be 200 people at the game.

Is the SAAFL News just trying to fire back at another form of media or trying to justify to themselves that they believe the game was a success?

Dunno but there wasn't 500 unless they were standing somewhere very sneaky. 250-300 would be my educated guess. Not a big crowd for a free State game that's for sure.

Salisbury North lost by 4 points at Henley today.

close game is normally a good game FC2, I'm assuming Brad Hood didn't play, he had a fairly fat ankle last I saw him..
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

Original FC, I spoke with Hoody today before the game, and he thinks it'll be anywhere between 4-12 weeks until he's able to play again...

It was a great game today, with a good crowd due to Henley's life members and past player's day. Henley were just too efficient with the pill at the end of the day, and deserved the points.

2nd ruck playing off the bench, sometimes deep forward.
