2nd ruck playing off the bench, sometimes deep forward.

ahh playing that last 7 minutes of the quarter role? totaling a massive 28 minutes on the ground for the whole game, out of a possible 120 minutes? training twice a week for a half hour of footy each week

Something like that. I think he's happy to play whatever role he's given.

I think it's fair to say that Uni have been playing the better footy out of the two sides all year. Not that surprising.
Good effort by Henley who still have a fair few players out, really showing in the reserves atm unfortunately.

Henley used the ball much better than Salisbury North on Saturday in the A Grade, and deserved the win. You're right about the magoos, the Hawks no doubt tested Henley's depth with all the injuries.

If your going to besmirch a club like that you would want to have some good evidence. I have never heard anything like that from Henley. I reckon you might have booked yourself a holiday

I have no reason to not believe that Eugene Warrior was racially vilified. However, I didn't hear the remarks as they happened, as I was not in the area at that stage, but I understand it got quite heated thereafter. Eugene is a straight shooter, and wouldn't bullshit for the sake of bullshitting.

My post was in response to a now deleted post which threw the whole Henley club under the bus. I concur with your Statements about Eugene completely and hope the individual in question is dealt with accordingly.

It is ironic, that if you ask the umpires as to which coach gives the most trouble with abuse, they will tell you it belongs to a certain coach who is named in these dispatches.

Racial vilification
Racial vilification is the term in the legislation of Australia that refers to a public act that encourages or incites others to hate people because of their race, nationality, country of origin, colour or ethnic origin[citation needed]. Public acts of this type are illegal according to e.g., the Racial Vilification Act 1996 of South Australia.

Vague provisions of the law that criminalise racial vilification caused criticism. In 2006 a controversy sparkled over a court decision not to prosecute an Australian aborigine girl according to the Vilification Act for calling someone "white slut". Critics classified this as an example of reverse discrimination, while Attorney-General of Western Australia Jim McGinty commented that "The laws are not about cracking down on name calling. What they are about is racial hatred in the most vile and serious of manners."

Everyone keeps using the term vilification, I doubt anything that may have been said would fit into the lawful definition. If it had the police would be investigating not the SAAFL. Use the correct term of racial abuse which although is terrible and not acceptable it is not illegal.

One off celebrity appearance?

Guess that may explain why Eugene Warrior, Michael Long, and other players from the then Kaurna Eagles saw it as "abuse" and not "vilification" after losing the Preliminary Final to SMOSH West Lakes in the 2003 after some of their teammates instigated a "bloodbath" at Blair Athol Oval an the crowd got understandably vocal. I agree with WW.....neither interpretation has a place in our game and given the multi cultural expansion in Oz....the future generations of footballers will become more and more cosmopolitan...maybe its this that will be the salvation for ridding the game of abuse based on race etc.
