Your little emoticons imply otherwise....However Haven went down by 8 points and Elizabeth lost to Haven by 10 points so your statement re: Elizabeth being GF certainties doesnt carry a lot of weight! Even elizabeth supporters wouldn't assume a GF victory quite yet.

Coulda been better. Elizabeth are a good side, and they moved the ball a lot better than us. They also made the most of our mistakes and rebounded way better than we could defend. The first 3 quarters were pretty woffle by us, but we came good in the last and kicked 8. It shouldnt get to that, but I guess the positive we can take out of it is that we didnt just concede a flogging and stuck in there til the end.

Personally, I played about 90 seconds of the 1st half, and most of the 2nd half. Feeling very comfortable in the A grade though :D Hoping to earn a full game soon

Couldn't believe you blokes kicked eight in the last quarter. Remarkable effort. You could have been even closer if your number six didn't keep giving the ball up from the full back line.

Far out, didn't realize we kicked 8 in the forth quarter, there's something to hand our hat on.

It was his first A grade game on Saturday and I thought he played reasonably well. He wasn't the only bloke who kicked the ball straight to an Elizabeth player coming out of defensive 50 and letting them take an uncontested mark.

I thought he played well too. Elizabeth did a good job creating that wall and putting us under pressure getting it out of the back 50. I was a culprit on more than one occasion of turning it over coming out of the backlines.

Sorry, mate. Missed it.
I only got there at half time, left 10 minutes before the end.
Was it in that time period?

What did you guys make of the Eagles' last quarter and the fact you could kick that many goals?

I think it was some time in the 3rd qtr in the north eastern pocket. Must've been obscured . ;)

I dont know what anyone else thinks, but I dont think Elizabeth let up at all, so it definately shows we can match it with you guys. We just have to do that for 4 quarters instead of 1.

Yeah that was pretty good mate, mad skills hahaha and yes it was in the 3rd quarter.

The Eagles were good all day, not playing four quarters of footy has been our issue all season.

And little Micheal Taylor always rated him, bloody hell he's hard to tackle and said that to him when I shook his hand after the game, brushed off countless tackles on Saturday, has great evasion. How much midfield time does he get? Majority of games in there? Foot skills let him down a little though.

While we're at it, the Elizabeth Football Club is hosting a past players day against our current nearest rivals, Trinity OS, on July 26 at Argana Park. This is the first time we've done this, so if you've been involved at the club, get along and join us and say g'day to some old mates.

A junior coach of mine always said to us, kick 16 goals a game, you'll win almost all the time.
How the hell do you let a team kick 26 goals and boot 16 yourself???

This comp is red hot! Has there been 1 game decided by 3 figures this year?
We go through this some years but the 2 sides who go down are very stiff!
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
