Did I see ex-Centrals/South Melbourne/Sydney Michael Wright helping out on the bench at Greenacres today? The big fella was offering plenty of support to the on-ballers - is he assistant coach? Last I saw him he was up the Riverland.

You did, he is one of Danny Ryan's assistant coaches. He has to keep his two sons that play there in-line.

Fair result, with the financial backing they are receiving via Grand North it would be a major disaster not to see the Dragons go up not only this year, but in years to come......The years of getting beaten by 50 goals seems to be becoming a distant memory.....

Not many suprising results yesterday. Top 5 seems to be sorting itself out with Blackfriars and Elizabeth nipping at the heels.

Big month of footy ahead. Should sort out whether we are contenders or pretenders.

GG V Greenacres
GG v Rosewater
GG v Plympton

Ill pick Greenacres just. I beleive the 5 is set, there is daylight between 4th and 5th,then daylight between 5th and 6th. Think the interesting one will be GG against Plympton. We have Elizabeth this week and hope to get on the board.Always a great game between Kenilworth and Elizabeth at St.Marys. The last 3 results have all come down to the final minute(s). Lets hope we can get 1 back on them :)

Nothing in it really. SHouldnt be anything more than a redcard sending off,

Things were getting very heated at that stage of the game. Lots of kidney punches and knees into packs and cheap shots thrown by a few of the Eagles guys. Got to the point that John Boxer threw up after being punched in the stomach that many times. Some of the umpiring was questionable but alot of back chat an ill discipline was show by some eagles players often sees things goes against you.

Essentially a free kick was given and the ump was setting the mark. Our player came of his line and went to move on and the elizabeth player essentially ran through the umpire who was miarginally in the way. Was given a red card for it. A bit excessive but at the same time contact could have been avoided.

Thats my take on it anyway

I was suprised as well. That the first trouble we have ever had with them. I think once things were getting ugly score wise, coupled with a few umpiring decisions (which went both ways mind you) frustration settled in and a few, not all, stopped playing football.

Cant remember the number of the guy that got sent off but i think it was number 48 (??) that can be held responsible for whacking Boxer repeatedly.

I know there was another account of striking in the game but im not sure if an official report has been filed against the player or not.

Gee thats a massive input boog, more interesting is the battle for non relegation already,3 clubs to battle it out,2 of them clash this week and one of them only finished with 15 fit players on the park last game, big game.

duncs..nugget is..solid :)

i think bulldog is spot on, it looks set, but beeroclock 5 teams will battle to not be relegated for a long way this year imo..until you are clear of the pack you are still in the zone and even a 2 game buffer can be nothing come rounds 15-18..farmers and bos have not been outstanding as of yet so it may be tight for all 5

plympton looked pretty good on saturday..they play very confidently at home and are a solid unit..

well done to gg so far this year as well..very good start to the year and should play finals from the looks

When you cant kick over 5 goals in a game your gunna struggle to win anything,3 sides didnt do that,Ingle Farm v United this week- nil all draw.

Not inured again. Still just a carry over niggle from that hammy. Was away all week and didnt train so thought it was best to rest him. Will play this week. It was a touch and go decision yesterday

Tommy is doing well. Played the first two with us and has got himself a spot in the North side. Hoklas hitting some form after missing some trials and ravlich is a very dangerous 3rd option when scudds and tuckwell are up there as well.

Got the Norwood boys back this week due to the bye. Will get Cam Shenton and Pauly Anderson for sure, both have been playing well in the 19's. Churchill injured so will miss him until next Norwood bye. Dont think Skinner or Cav will play this week as they have been up in the two's and would be under instruction to sit out. If they want a run im sure we can squeeze them in.

Outside of that the squad be at the strongest we have had this year. Not our best 21 due to one or two injuries to key players but still our strongest side yet.
