silly comment things are going well down there but to talk about premierships and back to back is just utter crap.

worst thing ive ever heard!!! More chance of brahma lodge putting dirt over the pitch (top 5 worst ovals) then winning a flag!!!!

Brahma Lodge in your opinion is a top 5 worst oval?? MAYBE thats the case but I can only laugh considering it came from a Plympton rep. Now that is a terrible oval :D

From what I saw last year The Lodge oval was a bit average towards the end of the year but I am sure they share the oval with a soccer club - so take into consideration the oval is used almost everyday of the week - not sure how many ovals would stand up to that (Browny can confirm the useage)

even with a soccer club it still probably gets used less than your avergae as most clubs have juniors that also share the oval.

Im surprised that most ovals must be used 7 days a week if thats the case....with football and soccer on Brahma lodge oval it is being used 6 days a week....which you believe falls below the average?

lovetotalkfooty will be making that much anticipated apperance in about 2 weeks time. As for him being as fit as ever i guess i will tell after about 25 minutes of my first session. Looking forward to a big season and watching payney and walts kick 75 goals each and a young buck name michael hayes take out the div 6 medal. Should be a good year allround. Just make sure they have a good stock of ted's because i am hanging for a beer.

FRom what I have heard payney & walts wont win the goal kicking at the Lodge - even if they kick 75 each ;)

I would think with a forward line of walts, payney and grover i may have to settle for a spot in the back lines or maybe (come on payney read this) a spot as an one baller. I like the thought of mckee to mckee to walton/groover, goal to the tigers. Hopefully payney realises i am a midfielder trapped in the wrong type of body. Payney if you read this what do i need to get in the beep test or 3km time trial to be a starting on baller?

from what i read there wont be no groover because his clearance has been resfused

TTG have 2 ovals. Hope Valley was looking really lush and green up until this week after the heatwave. Now there's a few yellow/brown patches, but should be fine come footy season

Your probably better off staying where you are as the BL money train only stops at the station once every two to three years, so next season you'll be out of pocket and back off to the APFL.

Nice one Groove ;)

I wish people would stop thinking that we have drilled for oil and struck it rich. Of course these new players are getting something but its not a stupid amount.

Deal with it.

Was that for the season
No one in Div 6 is worth $250 a game
Infact most blokes in Div 1 wouldn't get that
So possibly the pulling of one's leg or the talking of one's self up ;)

I think Browny put it well....they are getting something but by the sounds of things its nowhere near as much as other people seem to think...if it is i would like to know where the money is coming from because there is no way a single sponsor would be paying for them all.

Thats a bit harsh mate considering there is only 3 regular BL posters on here and they by no means talk themselves up, it's not their fault that they have continually come under fire because of a bit of luck and fortune has come their way. Good Luck to them, now the pressure's on them to back it up.

Thanks LM, much appreciated.

If anything we are always having to defend ourselves.

And personally I would much rather come on here and have positives things to say about our club rather than bagging others, but thats a personal choice.

No talent club? Maybe we havent had the success of your club but I hardly think the history is our (3 regular posters) fault is it? We can only try and improve the club and look ahead. Easy option would be to move to another club where finals is obvious, but that is not as satisfying and seeing a club rebuild and being part of the success.

And if you dont want to read it, then dont! But coming from Modbury why are you concerned reading about Div 6? Your far better than that!! ;)

A simple No is all that is required to your request on starting a new thread.

If you dont like it then it is quite simple...dont read it...skip over the posts that are of no interest to you. Im sure as the season gets closer more people from the other clubs will get onboard and talk themself or their clubs up/down.

At this point the people around BL are happy and we have a feeling that there is the potential for some success this years and your holding this against us.

Perhaps you should try logging on and having something constructive to say instead of your negative BL bashing as your almost starting to sound like the disgruntaled ex girlfriend of a player.
