Blake Davis layed the tackle and i can garantee you there was no intention of injuring the player..Blake plays footy hard and very fair.. seriously i no your a f n lutheran but toughen up...

well, Mr Joompin. how about the bloke that decided to punch our skipper square on the chin?? Is that the way footy should be played?? Does that sound 'very hard and very fair' to you?? I am sure that our skipper doesnt think so with a couple of metal plates in this cheek!! I am sure the SAAFL will think not, since they are starting up an investigation at all...

But this is nothing knew to me, or most people on this forum. I remember playing you blokes 2 years ago, and yes, we got pumped, but even though we were down 10-15 goals, SOME people from north haven thought they would still go out to try an injury as many people as they can...
Sorry about getting full-on, but this topic really bugs me, dirty footballers should be rubbed out FOR LIFE, being tough is one thing, but being dirty snipers is just the wrong way to play, football, netball, doesnt matter...

well snake eyes, i got sent off in that game your talking about and it was after one of our players just got king hit in a manner your talking bout your captain recieving!!!

At what stage of the game did you get sent off?? And why did you get sent off??

I have no idea of that happening....

college teams should be in their own league, then they can cry foul against each other

'most of the times' smartest thing you said.

For the record, we started the investigation, i guess if someone punches you in the face which requires to plates and several screws, stops you from going to work, eating solid foods and even talking, taking any action would be a silly thing to do...

If this players gets away with such an act, what is stopping him from punching you or a player from your team...he needs to know not to do it, and sitting on the sidelines for a few weeks might make him realise that!! dont come to me crying wolf if he does hit someone and no-one gives a flying f*ck!!

i took a king hit on the chin from a bloke at smithfield, 13 stiches later, played the following week against elizabeth with them still in, i was lucky nothing broken but i just got on with as did the club. if the umpires dont see it, just get on with it, do we all need to have cam corders like pultney and send them to amateur house.

who was the player?, if you have started something, you must know who this person is, i doubt whether the leauge could do anything about this, if there is a problem with this player i'm sure the club would sort this out

Not if it was the star of the club!! Your not seeing Sydney dump Barry Hall after the king hit he performed the other week....There are witness who saw the incident, i am not sure what action can be taken after the game. But an example needs to be set, otherwise everyone can think they will get away with it and it will ruin the game...

bucketts..maybe those stitches helped your general appearance out eh? :)

since when is alfc a college team??..news to me and the league i reckon

we had a guy king hit last year and wasnt reported..broke his cheekbone in 3 places so we did a report and the guy got 7 games..makes no difference if an ump see's it or he misses it..and investigation was conducted and the thug was found guilty and got what he deserved..do the crime do the time..perhaps bucketts instead of feigning such bravado your club should have reported it and gotten the thug out of the game ..hes probably done it again to someone else..most leopards dont change their spots

and we have an association with mercedes college..doesnt make kenilworth a college team..alfc also has a relationship with concordia college not just immanuel college but alfc is not a college team in your wildest dreams, both of those colleges are lutheran thats why there is a relationship of sorts..bucketts is inferring that if you are not a "district" team then you must be soft and a college team..feral mentality

I would class SPOC, Pembroke, PAOC, SMOSH, CBCOC and ALFC as soft. Scotch aren't soft, but they are the exception.

What a load of crap !

Depends what you class as soft i suppose. Most of the sides mentioned above usually are full of younger players, hence they are generally quick and play accordingly. Just because a team is quick and skillful, doesnt mean they are soft.

Stupid stereotype !!!

*I did not see the incident, just making a general comment*

there's no place in any sport for gutless thuggery.
I don't think ALFC are complaining about a tough game, just an alleged incident that never had a place in football.

When a team gets beaten because no one goes in for the hard ball they are soft. Regardless of what style a team plays, sometimes you just have to put your body on the line. A lot of college players aren't prepared to do this. It is a valid stereotype.

hmmm I have seen teams try to go the knuckle against college sides only to find that they have bitten off more than they can chew and they are the ones ending up looking soft....

A lot of players from ALL clubs are not prepared to do this - unfair to just say college teams. I have seen so-called 'tough' sides get beaten because they won't put their head over the ball, but are quite willing to belt a guy behind play.

The toughest blokes i have played against and with are the ones who dont think they are tough - they just get the ball regardless.

Usually the blokes that play this type of football are able to throw a punch aswell, but they dont have to!!!
they let their footy show the other team how hard they are!!
an opposition is always gonna respect a played that is hard at the ball and not a sniper off!!!!
