Well I think it was a bad ankle he could not walk (never even went through the interchange)
Not that you could see that well with those poor excuse for lights they had
but he never came back on and i could not see him on the bench with ice or anything

So you're saying that Goodys new lights aren't really good enough for a night game?

SHOC's certainly put on a good show on Saturday. Very disciplined and ran well all day, especially in the third quarter. Should be around the mark in a lot of games this year if they continue to play like they did on Saturday.

FS, looks as though you were on the money regarding Polly. Nothing too long term though and should be right in a couple of weeks.

got there not before the game started I had a look and thought must be new technology to be able to light up the whole oval
with 4 towers with 5 lights on each and the players might have been able to see but the spectators i spoke to said they found it difficult to see the other side of the ground

he needs to learn to shut his mouth... not the first time he has been belted. At Oakbank he usually cops one or 2 right hooks ;)

I'll get someone to bait him then on Easter Monday, that should fix him up for the following Saturday's game.

He's been our biggest loss from last year, but good on him for having a crack at Div 1. I have no doubt he will return to the Valley one day a far better player from when he left. I look forward to that day

How's this for interesting reading....

I know for a fact that the so called "squeeky clean" Gaza Football Club have been stretching the truth.

Their Div 1 Reserves team played an unregistered player in Rd 1 of the 2009 SAAFL season (last Saturday). The players is new to the club and a very handy pick up. It's not the players fault, but the Gaza Football Club who have long prided themselves on being perceived a professional club, have stooped to these unprofessional levels... Bad Gaza, bad....

Even know they lost by quite a margin - it begs the question "wonder how many other times Gaza have stretched the truth on the team sheet"??

I wonder what what the authorities at SAAFL new Thebarton headquarters will do?? Do they read these forum entries??

Watch this space!!

Hang your head in shame Gaza...
