I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but I thought their oval was probably the worst to play on in div 4!
situated in the middle of no where and very uneven and the away change rooms are pathetic!
Anyone comment on what oval they think is the worst and best! In Div 4
I love playing on our oval (Pooraka) Nice and big and good surface too!
Enjoyed playing on Portlands last year, good atmosphere down the club room end!
North Haven is very windy and the away change rooms are very poor!
Did a lot of preseason trainings at Greensacres when I was running around for the chooks seemed reasonable from what I can remember!

candyman wrote:Must be something in that name - Ashley Place. Surely it aint the one from Seaton. Dont kow the one from Walkerville but he would have
to be better than big lard arse from Seaton. The guy had a rope tied to his leg so he could not leave the goal square and then put on a turn
everytime the ball was not put right up into the air. Did not like to move in order to get the footy and blasted his team mates.
For Lutherans sake, lets hope it is the Walkerville - Ashley Place

Going on years gone by in some cases but here's my two bob's worth for what's it worth...
Lutheran has improved alot in the last few years compared to what it was like around 2003. Still gotta take a bucket and spade to play if you play on the ball... Away changerooms require no comment![]()
CBC was OK but the triple cricket pitches at half back, centre and half forward proved tricky in wet conditions
Fitzroy was poo 2 years ago but I understand they are using another oval in 09 ??
My home oval att GG is great but due to drainage issues on the far side doesnt cope well with lots of rain. Changerooms - well we all know they are unsatisfactory
Greenies is good in all aspects
Haven I have never played at but I drive past it every Saturday when working and it is getting greener by the week so looks like it should be good.
Pooraka was massive when I played on it in the early 90's so I'm glad to not be playing on it this year !!
Salisbury also is huge and good changerooms but have always found it to be very hard. Recovery is difficult after a game there.
I played a final at Salisbury West this year and cant say it's one of the best I've ever played on. Soft and Sandy and plenty of 'characters' on the hill offering friendly advice. Just lucky we used the home change rooms !!

I was surprised with the part of about pulling up badly after it. Besides the centre square which is a grade cricket wicket, the rest of the ground is usually in pretty good nick. We play there every second week and seem to pull up OK.test wrote:Pag wrote:Really?Choccies wrote:Footy Follower wrote:So Adelaide Lutheran for wooden spoon then it looks like!

I beg to differ jointman but then again I am probably a bit older than you and the older body really feels it on very hard and very soft ovals. When I was young (geez I sound like my grandfather.....) the oval didn't worry me at all but as you get older the differences in oval surfaces becomes more noticeable...
