I have to make a public apology to Rupert.I was one of those who supported the gypsies, and called on others to give them a fair go.It seems clear now that Rupert knows a lot more about the ways of the world than this little black duck.Apologies Rupert my Boy!!!!!!!!
What a shame! As a former captain and coach of the small but proud club known as Ovingham,I will be very sad to see 100 years of history go down the drain.

get your facts strait champ talk to someone involved at the club and you would learn the truth

That's an interesting statement, is there anyone down there who knows the truth? If this is not Bubbula, it must be his twin, the 'soon to be groom' maybe!
The coach's prodigal son!

Got it in one CC.

Well I know for a fact that last years best and fairest and last years leading goal kicker have both left the club.

Put Dale Woodhart in the square and he still won't get a kick 'cause it'll go straight over his head from the centre circle if anyone down there can actually kick a footy.

Gents, it has been a long time and after spending all morning reading this i am having a quiet chuckle but also a little confused. i am a current player and from what i know at the moment, (this is not all 100% accurate, i am not an oracle)

1 - we have nominated 2 sides in Div 7
2 - we have around 55-60 names on our list (i have seen the list) and getting around 25-30 on the track atm with 10 or more calls to the coach from lazy suckers
3 - i think Rhino (b&f) has left but Klompy will probably play in the magoos
4 - we have appointed A and B grade coaches and assistants
5 - the club is not in big financial trouble
6 - we have over 90% of '08 players staying
7 - we will be competetive in Div 7 having played there a couple of years ago
8 - a 'gypsy' i am not (although many 'narrow minded' people would call me one
9 - cooke i am very close to, you could almost say we are one, is staying and allcock is a mixed up kid. i don't think he knows what's goin on...
10 - Cataroo is a gay little punk

any more questions?

training Mondays Thursdays from 6:30, but often start at 7... slackers (not that i can talk!!!

the lack of goals only makes it difficult for goal kicking, which isn't where we're at yet, preseason started a bit later than other clubs i understand so the boys are just workin hard and doin some basic ball drills. The council either charge us very little or nothing at all because we're not in debt, the only problem i could think of is the lack of finances in the bank, but a little fundraising and a couple of private partys over the next couple of weeks should help that a little bit. and we have access to the oval, i wouldn't say exclusively because the blackfriars juniors play there too.

again i am not all knowledgeable but these are closer to the truth than the other rubbish that gets spewed on here.

Hmmmm, interesting that Minus is there. He'll love it. Although, with the smaller oval, he's going to find it harder to sneak off into space like the goal sl*t he is ;)
