Interesting draw. TTG played Trinity 2 weeks ago down there and now we play them again down there. Strange but hopefully another 100 point win.

I played against them, they were alright (nothing special), the only reason why it was not a 10 goal win to golden grove was we fell asleep in the 3rd quarter....we havent won a 3rd quarter all year.

I was told it was like a superules game, all oldies even a bit of biff in the packs??

They were all old and we had some old guys, but we also had alot of young legs. The only biff was older paralowie players trying to be tough and get stuck into younger golden grove players.

When we went up against them we had 3 players get punched in the head off the ball. One guy elbowed me in the back of the head while I wasnt looking and right in front of their umpire. Pathetic if you ask me. They are pretty dirty! But you just get on with the game.

They had a few that did the same to the young farmers, actually targeting 1 young lad who was getting a lot of the ball.

TTG beat Trinity by 51 points yesterday down there. Trinity were much improved though since 2 weeks ago. Trinity's ruckman completely dominated the game although if he tapped the ball to Trinity's players then they would've got a lot closer.

Wingfield have alot of flashy indigenous boys which no one could really keep up with...it threw us off and we struggled the whole game.

Hi all,
this saturday Trinity OS A & B's take on Paralowie at home, should be 2 good games..... Trinity C grade also take on Paralowie C grade but down at paralowie.

Trinity OS had asked the school if we could use the nice new fancy 1st 18's oval to see if we could make it a triple header and have all 3 grades together for the day. Trinity thought this also gets supports all at the same venue because lets face it Paralowie like Trinity i would think would have most of their supporters at their A & B Grade games. Trinity had considered that possibly the C Grade start a little earlier maybe and then have the last couple quarters to watch the A Grade battle it out!

Paralowie was asked if there C Grade would like to come down but they have said No they want the game at home.

Does anyone else think this is a little odd? Why wouldnt you want all your sides together?

Trinity C Grade play Paralowie c grade 3 times this season and all 3 games are at Paralowie's home ground, so why wouldnt you not take the opportunity just once to have all 3 sides together?

My question is what do other clubs think they would do? would your club use the opportunity to have all 3 grades together?

As long as the opportunity is reciprocated by both clubs is great opportunity for all to attend and support higher grades as well as good canteen, BBQ and bar takings
My question is what do other clubs think they would do? would your club use the opportunity to have all 3 grades together?

Well Paralowie cant hold all 3 games at their ground on the same day but if they did Trinity would have no probs for our C Grade to go there Trinity would love all our grades together think it would be good for our supporters no matter where it was at. Trinity C Grade play at Paralowie home ground 3 times this year.

Paralowie have the right to have it at their ground and im not bagging paralowie in anyway for choosing to do that, i was just wondering what other clubs would do if it was their club

For Trinity it wasnt about bbq, canteen or bar takings just about having all grades together for the day. When we are at home 90% of the time so are the 1st 18's so we just thought seems they wernt there why not see if the school would let us use the oval.

I'd be questioning the draw firstly, to be playing the same team 3 times away and none at home, there seems to be some sort of misprint or error. No one likes missing out on a possible home game, a loss of a few hundred dollars from the canteen and plus possible bar takings. There is a more likely chance of player unavailability when teams have travel unfortunately.

The draw for the C5 comp is a complex one this year as there is only 8 sides. last weeks games was the 2nd time Paralowie has travelled to south tce in 2 or 3 weeks. sometimes this can't be helped with a draw like this but not sure how they arrived at playing a side 3 times all at the same venue :?

I dont know if i would say complex could think of a few other words but i guess the SAAFL know what they r doing and there is a reason for it. At least its Paralowie the travel isnt so bad it could be worse travelling to Heccies or Plympton.

Bar and cantten takings.... i dont know how well Paralowie do for the C Grade so i cant comment on that but i know our C Grade we had the canteen for the 1st couple games but now i THINK they only do drinks at our C Grade home games because we were loosing money with hardly any food sales etc.

That's a Club vs Old Scholar thing, there would be some old faithful that would walk (hopefully) to the club to have a few beers and watch a game then nestle in for the night at their club without having to travel too far home. Once a game has finished at a school oval, it's off to the sponsors pub.
This is where "Old Scholar" teams gain a lot of respect from me, they don't have the luxury to have a big night of bar takings, they need plenty of sponsorship to operate and be financially viable, it is a credit to those that do have healthy bank balances.

How are Ingle farm coming along? Are they getting enough players out on the park this year? I remember last year they had a lot of very very young players playing to fill in.

Having a hard year in all grades, but still getting good numbers on the track, new blokes still coming out & signing up and more importantly filling 3 sides each week with blokes missing out.

TTG beat the farmers by 20 goals or so yesterday. Another poor performance by the gullies though. 3rd poor game in a row. Wont get away with performances like this against teams like Golden Grove and Paralowie.
