Interesting game down Kellet Reserve today. Close game up until the final quarter. Not sure what to make of the old fossils umpiring, he wouldn’t stop talking to the players. Wasn’t a match decider but the younger less experienced umpire could teach him a thing or two.

Hope the leg injury to the Scotch lad isn’t too bad. Although they way he was sucking on the green straw showed he was in a fair amount of pain.

Surely Wayne Weidemann is running out of coaching chances. Had one successful stint with Phos and has done nothing since. In fact he's actually taken most clubs backwards.

Helped Gaza to a Div 1 flag, unlucky not to take PHOS to a Div 2 flag.

Doesn't help that we lack tall key position players and the ones we did have either moved to the country or stopped playing. Wayne's been great at the club and has thrown himself into being a big member of Walkerville. He isn't here for a laugh let me tell you that.

Was going to say Weed was the premiership coach at Gaza so might have a slightly better record than Jars.

Weren't both coaches of the Gaza flag? Possibly playing coaches

Weeds was also an integral part of the massive success the woodville south juniors had over a certain period of time, personally standing in west lakes mall to recruit players at a sign up desk

the cats won a bundle of junior flags for about the next 5 years

Scotch OC for me. Form over the last month has been pretty good, probably have the best defence and have plenty of players pushing for A grade spots.

This year’s Club Day will also include celebrating some Premiership Reunions. We will be celebrating:

20 Year Reunion
B Grade, 1998
Walkerville Football 8.4-52 def Gepps Cross 2.7-19
30 Year Reunion
C Grade, 1988
Walkerville Football 8.8-56 def Henley Districts 5.9-39
40 Year Reunion
C Grade, 1978

Based off that, your C grade have a lot of pressure on them to continue the tradition and win a flag this year!

The Cs aren't going to play finals this year so the pressure falls onto the B's to keep the '8' Premierships going :D

Gee you'd be thinking the boys in the Havens B's and C's will owe the A grade boys a few beers for pulling them the home final triple header?!

I would have expected some very tough trips for them to Walkerville and Uni respectively!

Where would Uni C's play their final?
