I dropped by for the A grade and saw it abit differently, while marion dominated the first quarter with a 4 goal wind, they were wasteful in front of goals. Morphies looked allot better in the second and made the most of their chances and led by a goal at half time. The second half started with Morphies kicking the first before marion piled on 5 goals to lead by 4 goals at 3/4. Morphies had the wind and all the run in the last to kick 5 or 6 goals and win by a goal or two. Marion were missing Angel while Harrison Cock didn’t play for morphies and there was a few other athletic guys standing around the bench who I assumed were injured or rested.

All in all it was a pretty crappy day for footy with a gusty breeze. Both teams probably happy with the hit out and both probably see areas where they can improve

I’d like to go through the phone of every journalist at the advertiser and pick out messages that could be construed as sexist, homophobic, not in line with community expectations etc.

Private chats should remain that. I don’t want to live in a world where I have to worry every conversation is fodder for some halfwitted, sensationalist “analysis” in the paper.

I remember a world where people could laugh about things. For Christ sake the players don’t want people to stop posting photos with the missus or there’ll be no money for the footy trip!

Unfortunately we feed into the clickbait business model of the advertiser by talking about the shit they write.

Is it not half the fun to indulge in the acts on the fines list, then try to bullshit your way out of them at the kangaroo court??

As you said, the footy trip doesn't fund itself, and nothing's funnier than the sitting session of the fines master after training.

Old mate at the Tiser should stick to poorly thought out season reviews and top 25 lists

It come out in the open as it was alleged that there were minors in the chat. FFS, if you're playing senior footy then you must be somewhat developed, I was playing seniors at 15 was an active part of the footy trips etc by the time I was 16, if you don't like or can't handle the content, don't join the chat.

My lad is 19 and has played seniors for a few years now, he knows what to take in and what to ignore when it comes to blokes talking crap, it's a learning process and his team mates will be the first ones by his side when he needs them.

while I agree to some extent, I disagree for the most part. Private conversations with mates should not be a green light to make comments that you would not normally say in front of others (IMO).

If that’s the “worst” thing coming out of their club private chat they are travelling very well in comparison to most.

That would be a tame message in some I have been in historically.

The world has gone mad.

Thanks to Salisbury for the hit out today, obviously a long day and challenging at Ingle Farm with our Reno’s under way - seems to create more headaches than answers!

However, I can’t help but admire Salisbury - they’re one of those clubs that just seem to generate great support. Maybe I’m wrong, but last year then today, the black & white army turn out in force. It’s great for local footy.

All their members were respectable, supportive and understanding of the difficulties at our ground and what we could / couldn’t provide.. and they cleaned all their mess - our members could learn a thing or two!

Best of luck this season, may not be the season you had last year, but would be a brave team to under estimate you.. still plenty to like.

p.s unpopular opinion but geez umps were good in all game!

After seeing Fitzroy and Ingle Farm (Minus Terrel Rigney) in the last 2 weeks, i'd say Ingle Farm are the better side and will be hard to beat in Div 6
Reno's are always hard to deal with but everything ran like a well oiled machine under the circumstances
Was bloody hot in the sun so couldnt imagine how bad last week would've been if games weren't cancelled

The footballing world even in D5 have spoken Bedge. Green and white Army 2025 - every other side odds have blown out! Lids off at the Farm.

Sorry to ruin your day.

I make no secret of the fact our objective is to play well this year and get out of D6. I'd be lying if I said it wasn't.

However, it's a trial game first and foremost, and it's a long season ahead. Only a fool would be looking that far ahead. We played well last year but were KO'd in the Elimination Final - i'm well aware of how it can fall apart quickly with a change in weather, injuries & unavailability etc... but... the Farmer Tsunami is coming.. :P
