our top 5 for the year thus far would be

Kunhdt - Hitting stellar form
Simmons - Dangerous Every week in both the middle and up forward
McCarthy - Ill put it out there and say he is the best CHB going around
Darkins - Ruckman who has been consistently good thus far. Playing well above what is expected of him. Probably a suprise leader if the B&F was taken now
Sparnon - Started the season with a bang with BOG performances in the first two games then has been struggling with annoyance injuries with over the last few weeks. Only played a quarter against Greenacres (bad cork) and Plympton (Sprained ankle).

might be giving a bit of important info to other teams there BB. did mcCarthy play CHB all of last yr? i know he played there at the end of season

I think pat was there alot of there. Our stucture changed alot with the new coach at the club.

Not anything suprising or new in what i wrote really. If you have been keeping an eye on the paper and the goal scoring leader board everyweek you probably would have come up with the same names as i have. The truth is that we havnt been plaing our best footy yet and we have 21 players that are capable of turning a game in their own right. We still dont see our selves at the Greenacres level and hold a high respect for all the opposition. What is good about the group is that last year and this year so far we havnt slumped into complacency and dropped easy games. We were poor and somewhat complacent on the weekend against plympton, most neutral onlookers would have seen that, but it has been adressed going into this week. Lucky to get away with the win. We have no secrets. You can only win with what you have available and oppositions will see who is dangerous after a 10mins anyway.

GG i hope is less than 10 goals, i would be happy with a 5 goal loss. Danny Ryan to get his kicking boot on and to kick 6 goals for Greenies.

Yeah, looks like two great games on saturday for div. 5, I'll wait and see what the sportsbeat has to say before doing my tips, nothing like getting it from the professionals. What the hell happened to your guy from the B's, 8 games?

Oh, it's always a bit of a worry when you get a new player out that nobody knows, it's just a shame clubs find out the hard way. There's bugger all you can do about them instances.

"long time reader, first time poster"

Have watched a fair few games in div 5 and would have to say what I have seen is that Ormond Allen is the best in div 5 by far and should be given his previous standard of footy and look out for rosies if they can get disciplined. They will shape the 5

GG are good, quick and young which can be both positive and negative, lots of depth and lots of confidence, dont look as good away from home but their big oval may help come finals as most of time played on a bigger oval.

Plympton the same as GG just with out the forward target GG has. Dont like the defensive way Plympton go about it, one of the lowest scorers for and against, but in saying that they are very well drilled to their game plan which means well coached and it obviously is getting them the points most the time but may not against the GG and Greenies that will just outfire them. Perhaps when the full forward comes back they may look more dangerous, very good young ruckman.

Greenies are the ones that stand out thus far "obviously", they have to many players to match up on, targets up forward, onballers and strong defense, Ryan has got them disciplined and even with up to 8 out they keep getting across the line. Look out as they still have a lot of improvment with several new players and new game plan in 08.

The rest are pretenders I believe but thats just my point of view and I have seen most.

Probably all obvious points just thought about time I gave my point of view. Look forward to your points...

What do you mean by "pretenders", no one goes out and pretends to play. I don't see many clubs on here blowing their own trumpets.

agree..ormond allen is not the best in div 5..i could name 5 others who are having a much better season than him..discipline is not something you just wake up with..its has to be instilled in the group over time

all your other comments are correct griffin, even if they were obvious :)
