To be fair, aside from the disgusting off the ball king hit and the blue their drunk spectators tried to start with our players and supporters as we left the changerooms at the end of the game we had no issues with them. (actually they are normally pretty good, but not this time round)

Great weekend for the club, top spot secured in all 3 grades. But, as has been mentioned at our club constanly minor premierships mean dick all. For me and a large group of players it represents a sniff of reward for a number of years in juniors and then 5 of years senior footy, being reasonably unsuccessful, but we have all stuck together. For others at the club hopefully we can bring home some silverware for their countless years of hardwork.

So you just decided to throw that into the start of having a good day and no issues with them, just for everyone to read. FFS

Have to agree with this Pag, not sure what they put in Jet fuel these days but it seems to go off quick.
We have never had an issue out at Argana Park...allways been good to us

But I rekon we go ok with how we treat visiting teams....

At least Nelson will have appeared 4 times in Bs and Cs in 12.15 games unlike clubs that rort the 25 player C and D grade team sheet by listing players who arent even at the game.

Nelson cant play until finals as he coaches ths school team which play at 2.15

Agree with you on this but as someone pointed out all the opposition side need to do is point out the player isnt there on the day and the name will be removed. Pretty easy really, supposed to be 7 on the bench and only 5 guys sitting there, call them on it.

A good hard fought win by GG out at Jailacres. With 3 injued on the bench we were severly restricted but the 18 left dug deep to scrap a win. With a late send off we were actually down to 17 for the last 10 but Greenies chipped away to be within a goal half way thru the last term. A game played in great spirits and Greenies should hold their heads up high. Hospitality after the game by Johno and turk was top notch and as usual and its great to see both these 2 sides get together for a few beers after the game.

Para Hills next week for us and with 3 more injuries on top of our current lot it'll be a testing week for our selectors.

Cheers again to Greenies. Hopefully people get around them and what they are trying to achieve because they've got the right men at the top
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Agree Choc,
Hard fought by us yesterday. 17 men for the las 10minutes was hard work. Im definatley feeling it today. We really could have iced the game earlier than we did but credit to greenacres to keep coming.

As much spite as there was in yesterday's contest, it was good to shake hands at full time, appreciative of the effort both sides put in. Knowing had the fours points were ours made it sweeter, unlike other occasions we have had to travel down grand junction road. After 3-4 years of bashing it out with greenacres, i can start to respect some of there players but on the whole, i really dont like the club and take peasure in getting one up on them when we can.

Was yesterday a 'double' points round?

Four points is for the AFL and the Victorians only......

Very hard side to beat on a big ground is Salis West, their only problem come finals is playing Scotch at the Pickett Fence in the Qualifying Final, if it was at Westies home ground i'd have my money on Salis West.

Saw first half of SW v Unley.
No 49 for SW had his own footy in the first half, solid on baller, not sure of his name.

Scott Burnett. His second half was better than his first IMHO.

Agreed. He can play, and doesn't mind getting a clearance! That lad, maybe number 13? that played on a wing also ripped us up.

SW a totally different side to the team we played at Jet Park mid-season. They have no doubt improved, but they also love the space on their big oval.

The game was even until 3qtr time, but we got absolutely spanked in the last.

IMO SW are the best coached side I've played against in Div 4. They seem to get the best out of the cattle they've got (not saying there is anything wrong with their cattle) because they have a clear game plan that plays to their strengths. They are also really organised at stoppages and win a huge amount of clearances.

I know a fair bit about their cattle, at the start of the season I thought they'd finish 6th to 8th at best given their inexperience at senior level and their body size, I thought it would take a good twelve months for Gary to implement a well disciplined game plan and develop the group.
He has taken the group in leaps and bounds, each week I look in the chip wrapper to see kids in the best and kicking multiple goals, Gary has obviously been instrumental in getting the best out of his chargers and having hi around Westies must be an absolute god send.

Slip of the tounge. Just use to rolling of the cliche's ;)

We should get a few back this week but with 3 more injuries on the weekend, it will be for an equal result. Two from the weekend are season. Still had about 6 out of the a's on the weekend that should become available soon.
