I think he is assisting Jars in the 'A' grade and that is preventing him from playing A's..............Dolphin Express could probably confirm.

i realise D jars has never been head coach for anyone but, you would have to say that being his assistant would be one of the best set-ups for any aspiring coach who wants to move up as a senior coach!

Yeah a Div 4 reserves coach having D Jars to lean on would be a pretty handy gig I would have thought.

No doubt if Dev's body was sound he would still be playing A grade Footy.
He will be assisting DJ in the A grade also.

The B grade job at CBC has been a very tough gig over the last few years, and I think that we will finally have a list that will provide the B's Coach with some job fulfilment. The working with Jarman bit will be icing on the cake.

Donuts have icing too...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

So it looks like a done deal with Edwardstown heading down to the SFL as they have been included in the '09 draw?

That does this mean Salisbury get another crack at in Div 3 Pag?

If so Unley will do the Houdinie act again to escape Div 5?

Seen a few boys are having a stab at the ladder for the end of the home & away season with Choccies taking a poll so thought id give it a crack as looks like a bit of fun so here goes!

1. PAOC - these boys were spewing not to go back up to Div 3 after being in the Top 2 all year in '08!
2. POORAKA - were the form side at the half way mark, another ex Div 3 side & played Div 4 finals the last 2 years!
3. FITZROY - had a good finish to '08 & have a good squad to have a real crack at the title in '09!
4. GREENACRES - big step to Div 4, big $ pick up's, big backer Nth AD FC, wont stay in here long, 2-3 seasons tops!
5. GOLDEN GROVE - '07 Div 5 GF teams didnt play '08 Div 4 finals? Can these boys as already up 2 Div's in 2 years?

6. SALISBURY WEST - back to Div 4 but had success here & a premiership U/18's squad this team will be on the rise!
7. NORTH HAVEN - them player loses will hurt but another team with a great U/18's squad that will see benefits soon!
8. ADELAIDE LUTHERAN - similar to last years results & will miss finals by a couple of games!
9. CBCOC - can & will match it with the Big Boys is just their depth thats a worry for them!
10. UNLEY - wont be easy beats as have the ability to knock off Top Teams is just consistancy!

This be a very interesting year in the most even Division so enjoy & have fun boys!

Pretty good Lion - you guys need some time in the sauna and on the track - played hard, but were overweight (I can say that coz I am over 100kgs :) ) Too bad Benny Hart's knee was shot - good bloke - I had a good yarn with him after our match. Have they found what was buried in your centre square yet? A small city maybe?

Not sure why everyone thinks Fitzroy were so good at the end of last season, we had em on toast at their home ground but kicked about 30 points and lost by less than a goal. We beat much more convincing teams in the run home than them. Yet they seem to be over rated for some reason. Who are your new recruits Fitzroy, why will you be so much better than last year?

Happy to be under estimated in everyones calculations as a team, but not understanding the reasoning behind some of the predictions.

Yes mate, Salisbury will be in Div 3. Up to Unley whether they stay up or decide to go down. If they do the latter, it would give Pulteney the opportunity to say in Div 4.

Adelaide Luth. beat them in the last game of the year at Fitzroy after being 7 goals down at half time.
Sat on Coulter and Bourke in 2nd half and they barely scored

That's correct Blinkey, Sok will be missing from the Fitzroy side next year for atleast half the year though. I was standing next to him when he was telling one of my team mates he was going interstate to work or something like that.

Roaring Lion, almost spot on mate. ....... I would prob put Pooraka as number 1 though :D

Dolphin Express I will give you two words why people think Fitzroy have a better chance than CBCOC in 09....
Josh Coulter, blokes a gun footballer who should be playing a lot higher than Div 4. Bit of a temper though.

AAggh and Felchy, Our captain Dean Pead spoke to Drew Hosking last night and Drew confirmed he has met with Greenacres........and Edwardstown.......and Gaza. But he is still going to be a Bull next year. Wouldn't think money would come into it, the bloke just wants to win a flag! Is a massive player for us. Gets the number 1 forward week in week out, and is tough as nails. People who have played against him would know you don't get an easy kick when he's on you.
