We had the momentum and were killing them all over the ground so it was a bit disappointing in that perspective. we kicked 5 goals to 1 in the second and were threatening to extend the lead.... we will take the point but would have loved to get a win

Stu is a great man. hope is doesnt come back to bite you. hows Matty handling himself in Div1

Matt is a great club man as is stuey..... Matt said he wanted to stop Pitt and although Pitt kicked 2 they were from free kicks by other players... jols got infront and beat him 1 on 1.

Must say it was an interesting match up of Jolly on Pitt. Two ex Redlegs on each other. Big crowd left dissapointed after the lights fiasco as the game was in the balance and can't wait for the return bout.

If wanker posters posted someyhing near the truth, i wouldn't bite! Seems to be a fair number of Wankers west of Main North Road.

So, he is not going to play for Gepps then?? im not starting rumours or trying to stir trouble, just trying to see if what ive heard has any substance.

All i can say is you can really tell Aceman is not in this state .... Im sure we would have sorted this one out quick smart

Just got back from seeing one of the best games ever at the MCG.
Well done to Salis North, they obviously wanted the win more than our blokes.I must agree with Moz, a couple of undisciplined acts by a player who should know better and my mail is he wasn't even dragged for it. If that doesn't send the wrong message to players then I don't know what will!

Waterhouse at Gepps Cross, not in my lifetime and please give our club management some credit for not even contemplating the idea.
No Clive at Gepps Cross, sorry men but you're wrong again!

It was probably your house, the bank had foreclosed on it I was told so we bought it, sorry mate now that you're out on the street....................................again!
As for costing the Club President, which hat did you pull that one from? The one on your head ot the one covering your other end.

Ace, yes a few of us were wondering why the 'hook' didn't come out. even just to have a 'chat' to him about his importance and role within the team.

I agree totally, this bloke will be getting just a little over a game what he was getting at Port just to play country Amateur Footy.
What an absolute joke, what happened to him going back to his junior club ( Para Hills ) & giving something back?

i Wonder who makes the decision on a result for a situation like what happened at TTG on Sat night? if there game had have been further progressed and Modbury were still a couple of goals up would they have an arguement for all the points? Id say Modbury would have been happy sharing the points considering they probably werent given much of a chance to win it.

Why does taht not surprise me, especially after losing by two points to kersbrook. hahah i am amazed at the amount of many that club spends. i reckon the water boys would be better paid than any sanfl reserves players. 1800 bucks that is a joke, will be funny to watch him be beaten by lesser known players who have pride in their guernsey and club.

This has been posted on the SAAFL website.

Modbury is no longer in the dark - it beat Tea Tree Gully at Pertaringa Oval on Saturday night despite the game ending at half-time because of a black-out.
The incident happened about 10 minutes before half-time of the twilight game, and the field umpires asked both captains whether they wanted to continue in near darkness.
They agreed to play up to half-time, hoping during which time the power would be restored.
Of course, the power did not come back on in time, and everyone agreed that the conditions were too dangerous to continue.
But under rule 10.6.2 under "incomplete match" in the Laws of Australian Football, edition 2009, Modbury won because it led at half-time, rather than declaring the match a draw, which nearly everyone believed was the case.
Modbury led TTG 7.4 (46) to 5.4 (34) at half-time, and that remains as the final score with the Hawks collecting the premiership points.
Kylie Weekley, SAAFL football operations manager, said it was regrettable that the match needed to be abandoned.
"We hope that this is something that the League doesn't need to contend with often," she said.

I think you run this risk by playing night games, in local cricket, if you cannot supply a suitable ground to play on, you forfeit the match. If TTG had of been in front it would've opened up a can of worms.
