the number of times we hear this throughout the season is a joke and since i get paid well at work to do not alot, i've dug into the SAAFL archive to find some truth.
From what I can see in relation to heccies GF win last year, they had 10 names missing from their game against unley on the w/e. I dont think they have had a missive influx of players over the summer either. Not sure if jetters can shed some light on any significant weak links but it seems they have some decent depth in their top 30-35 senior ranks.

Pfranny you trying to stir the pot mate or has the humidity gotten to you lately??

just curious becuase i know for a fact that they have lost both their full forwards for atleast six weeks each that is a huge loss...and if it is true about the number of players out thats not a bad effort to knock off unley who should be around the mark come finals time like barrell it said they must have some depth

Its kind of irrelevant really who wasn't playing. Those that were playing did more than enough to deal with us.

I had a beer for ya back in the bar afterwards mate and couldn't find you anywhere, will have to make sure you're at the return leg.

Heard on Saturday that the Johnno did all the work at Greenacres, so thought you would have been in the bar well before him, as he can not get any good help at the moment. Am guessing Johnno was glad for some assistance for a change

Barrell wouldnt it be more advisable to check the round 3? there was 6 changes to the round before! then at least 2 injuries in previous weeks.

On the match Unley missed plenty of opportunities in the 1st quarter and half which may of cost them, the ground was in great condition, rained during the B's was only slighly damp in the A's. The umps were very protective to the player 1st to the ball, at least consistent to both teams.

either way BS sounds as though they have a fair few out 6-10 of their starting 21 and with them having a pretty solid month ahead they will want a full squad.. i did hear getting to the pill early was a huge benefit!! as 1 in 2 contested possessions was favoured with a free kick.. these days you see more frees for shoulder high and not head high which can frustrate the hell out of players..

Great effort by the Jets in the 3rd quarter to smash us and put us out of the contest. Umpiring was very good ( consistent ). Talk about a crunch game this week against Pultney. No doubting we will get better as the season continues but geez would not mind a W soon

Umpiring was very good....surely not.
I am not one at all to complain about the umpires, and have to say the standard of umpiring has been very good this year.
On the weekend they did protect the player going for the ball, but anyone who yelled out, threw their head back, dropped to their knees etc etc got a free kick. Any crappy acting job got rewarded.

Your 'B' grade umpire is an interesting one. Does she realise that blowing her whistle a million times whilst their is a blue going on is a waste of time? Also, sticking a yellow card in someones face, so the card actually makes contact with the players face only makes a heated situation worse? Clear lack of respect for the players.

Whilst you have your cheat continue to trot around umpiring B Grade games I'd suggest you get back in your box criticising anyone else's umpires..

If you think our Ump cheats then you clearly don't know the bloke.
You don't think this deserves criticism?
....we have also had 3 different guys do the B grade in the last 3 years, so you might be thinking of a different person.

You have just confirmed yourself to be a total clown Jetters... The whistle blower was your guy and number 12 for your B grade was a tool...Whilst I am on it ..My opinion they were fine and thats why skobes got his 8 free kicks. There is only one thing worse than a bad loser its a bad winner. You have just shown yourself to be that.
