2:45 A Grade

I reckon first games for the day would commence at 8:30 but not 100%

Huh? - Guessing the break times here but it seems a fairly tight day if you ask me!

Under 14s: 10:20 start, 4x12min quarters, 3min 1/4 and 3/4 time, 6min 1/2 time = 11:20 finish.
5 minute break
Under 17s: 11:25 start, 4x18min quarters, 5min 1/4 and 3/4 time, 10min 1/2 time = 12:57 finish.
3 minute break
Reserves: 1:00 start, 4x20min quarters, 5min 1/4 and 3/4 time, 10min 1/2 time = 2:40 finish.
5 minute break
A-grade: 2:45 start.

About right there Trader, most of the time teams are organised well and if the 14's get away before 10:20 it sets it up nicely.

The 17's breaks would be a bit shorter than what you've suggested, you gain some minutes there.

Na, as stated with Trader, it is a bit of a pain in the arse at times as you hope to commence the 2nd half by 4 and be done by 5 if you're lucky, by the time you have a shower and then go in for a couple of drinks with players/coaches it's pushing 6:30 then anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes to get home makes for most of the day.

We simply don't have the talent our fitness to compete with these sides, its not an excuse its just the way it is. No science involved in that just probably should have done more.

Did you guys have any say in being put in Div 7?

Thought it was a bit unfair putting you guys in there before the Div 1 clubs with D grades such as PAOC, ROCS and Payneham. Did those clubs request not to be in Div 7? I work with a Sparkie that plays in your C grade and we've talked footy and about you guys playing Div 7. He wasn't sure if your club had any say in being put in Div 7.

I think you're missing the main candidate, one with a fair history of success in D7 too
Uni?

I went and watched the Spos v Mawson Lakes Game on Saturday

although the game lacked a lot of any type of skill, endeavour of the young lads from the new St Pauls team couldn't be faulted - young enthusiastic and just give it 100%

both teams need to learn very quickly to use the footy better - 1940s kicking ball down the line all game wont help either team going forward

was odd watching from someone who played 13 years at st pauls watching 2 of the same teams running around - like watching a trial game really

I think 95% of the mawson lakes guys would not have a connection to the Old scholars of old so if this continues I think the old breed would be inclined to lean towards the St Pauls side going forward

as a life member, I don't know which one or both im aligned to??

I also watched the game and its the first div 7 game i have watched. Your observations are very much spot on. The continuous long kicking was at time frustrating to watch. Often short targets were on but overlooked or plainly not looked for.

I also think the discipline of both sides was poor and going fwd they need that addressed as better sides will capitalise on silly things. On this note, Ashley Mitchell was umpiring the game and he controlled the game fantastically, a very good umpire.

Never too old to have a kick. I'll stop playing only when either my body gives up or my partner kicks me out he he.
