A few BIG games this week

Lions travel to Mawson Lakes
TTG at home to St Pauls
CU take their second journey south V Marion.
One of Golden Grove or Mitchell park will break their duck.
Houghton travel to Flinders in the only game that looks one sided.

OSB vs ML game looks a beauty.. be interesting to see how they manage the ground - it's a strange place to play footy I've found. Lacks any sort of atmosphere and tends to be stupid windy, it's hard to really get into the games, and Lakes generally play it well.

Don't bother having a shower there either, they're build for midgets. ;)

Have you seen OSB's home ground?

Interesting... is it a big oval?

Looking at the results Mawson Lake's home form certainly seems to be better than what they have been producing on the road.

Hmm think it's a pretty standard size, about the same length as OSB at a guess, perhaps a little wider? Well feels that way given the open space.

Does the golf course affect the oval at all, I notice the oval is only a kick away from 9th tee.

Yep, the 10th green is at Centre Half Forward at the northern end

Nah, it's further away than it seems. The closest part of the golf course (from memory) is behind the scoreboard out near the flank, and there is quite a high fence to stop balls from travelling onto the course.

Then again i'm no expect on Mawson Lakes oval, only play there once a year

@The_Informer would be best to answer.

Your both right. The 9th tee block is directly behind the score board but well away from the boundry line. at a guess 50-60m away facing the opposite direction

It's setup something like this:
*NOTES*
- Interchange benches are the red stars to the left
- Change rooms is the red star top left
- In the past from memory there has been a soccer ground marked I think? It's inside the left hand side boundary by a few metres and can cause a little confusion.

And use white goal posts, can keep the behind posts red though, old school.

The 8th green and 9th tee are in the middle of where the old oval was, isn't the current oval where the Rugby pitch used to be?
