Ian Perrie was involved in a scuffle with a Golden Grove player who came off second best. Now the mother of said player is up in arms about what happened to her son.

Any idea what Sarge did? I was there and saw him react to something and saw the aftermath and just put it down to the pack crushing the Golden Grove bloke


Also does the young no. 13 know what day it is yet? Takes some balls to drop into the hole like he did

If it is the incident i am thinking of, It was a ruck or a marking contest. Our bloke went to ruck/contest against sarge. Apparently amongst the tangle he whacked Perrie square in the chops. I didn't see it at the time but it was a non-malicious act that was taken the wrong way. Perrie then grabbed him by the throat and choked him. It all happened whilst play was still going. But i do remember our bloke being a bit dizzy in the hands of the trainers and coughing up a fair bit had to come off and was struggling to breathe for quite a while. Didn't know the mothers was up in arms. The lad was fine Saturday night

Young number 13 was Ollie Graham. 17yrs old still., Was in a really bad way, even in the rooms after the games. Huge courage to do what he did

Well done to Pultney. Too good for us. 0-3 against you guys this season. You were the only nut we couldn't crack. Was a good game from both sides. Really just came down to minutes of better footy in the last quarter that sealed it.

What are peoples tips for this w/e?

I would have Unley Mercerdes over Scotch between 1-10

and Pultney over Salisbury West by 12-24.

It will be a very interesting 2nd week of finals though as I could see either team getting up in both games. Will also being interested to see the impact ben nelson has on the outcome of the scotch vs jets game. Hoping to see my boys through to a GF though, would be a great achievement for the club but not job done. Expecting a bit of fire, especially early...

Only thing that gets better with Kenny Down each year is the chimps Ego.... deadset thinks he is bigger than the game! Just think he used to umpire div 2-3

You think he is bad in the mens game you should see him umpire the females on sunday

Congrats to Gary! Any idea who took out the D4? Were/are you at the count?

Yep Pulteney too good in the end, not just yesterday but in all 3 games we played them this year. We tried all day but in the end the 22 we had available just weren't good enough.

Disappointing in the B grade too as we went down to Lizbeff. The best 3 quarters we had played all year, hard at it, determined, good skills and had a few of them shirking some contests, followed by the worst quarter we have played all year as they started to generate some run and finished well. Very disappointing result considering we deserved to win. We did get a good run with the umpires tho.... but this may have been because we wanted to be first to the ball and the Eagles were a bit lippy.... but well done to them, I hope they knock off Unley next week !!

Carn Choccies get around the Jets! Anyway, how are we ever going to win with neutral umpires???

20 cents says O'Donovan doesn't line up for Scotch in the A's with a broken arm and Ben Johnston comes up from their B grade considering he is one of their top half dozen players.
