If Dutchy hadn't said that Mick has the job at the Roos next season, I almost would have picked the top 2 myself...

stranger things have happened  Even though it was mentioned that Payney may end up at Sturt 18's, however I don't think he's been formally approached.

If he doesn't go to Sturt surely he'd go around with EP again?

I can be absoulte, that Payne will not be at Sturt as the U18 coach. Peter Young the current 19's coach is already under contract for 2009.

You would think that the eastern park committee would want to increase what they are paying there current coach at the moment. I would think a 100% payrise would have to the minimum or he could just walk away to a country club and get 5 times what he got this year.

I can confirm Peter Young is not contracted to Sturt for season 2009.
Peter Young won't be in this state in 2009.

I can confirm from the horse's mouth that he has the job in 2009, but as you have pointed out will be in QLD. Either way he hasnt left his post due to finals commitments, therefore he is still employed which would include 2009?

No.1. Peter Young should be coaching the Sturt reserves side.
No.2. You'll see Pete take his U/19s to a flag in 08 & then cruise over to the Sunshine State & let his limited hair down with his family & enjoy himself.
Good luck to him, great bloke Pete.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
