Only approx 1 exercise per muscle group there Shrek? Is your goal more of a general conditioning one rather than muscle building?

I don't think you are going to achieve your goals with that routine Shrek..but that's just my opinion. 2 compound exercises and 2 isolation exercises per workout doesn't seem enough.

Felt knackered today. Got a PB of 5 chins with 25kg.

Have been neglecting shoulder and back health so I'm going to have an easy week a focus on them.

Bit of swell coming in so might head down for a surf on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Hate going down by myself though, anyone else keen?

Good luck shobtop1, but im assuming your also smashing HJ's cause putting on 10kgs of muscle over 5-6months is extremely difficult! Unless you have ridiculous genes or a really good chemist...

Been back in the gym for a couple of weeks now after not touching the weights for a few weeks over christmas. It also meant not looking after my back or shoulder very well and they are a bit stiff. Hurt the back deadlifting a trailer too.

Tonight, weighed in at 92kg built up to 110x5 then 115x3 on the bench. That's back to pre holiday levels. Behind the neck shoulder press is very achey 70x6 75x5 80x2. Chin up strength is good built up to bodyweight +17.5x4. Did some shoulder rehab.

Leg strength has suffered the most and I'll be putting in a lot of effort on the front squats but I've got to be careful as I've lost a lot of strength through the lower back.

Has anyone else got anything interesting to report? On the other leagues' threads it says some people are getting close to the 10min mark on 3k runs.

I ran a lap of Mount Panorama (except up Mountain straight obviously cos I'm no spring chicken....) and I can guarantee that is a genuine workout and no-one needs to tell me that they are in interested or not because I'm too sore to care and stiffer than a honeymooners you-know-what.........
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
