looks like retirement for me then.

Looks as if a few teams maybe Pi-- o-f with Port District pulling out at the last min & I guess some of their player will also be unhappy.
How can you win a flag and lose a full side for the following year what did they all go into retirement or did the senior list players from Div 1 team defected to Port Adelaide Magpies to keep them alive and play for free this year?

Well there are lots of new teams just started this year would welcome them with open arms ( Elizabeth, Brahma lodge to name a few)If a player lives out that way.
Im sure North Haven would welcome any past Port Dis C6 2009 Premiership player to their club if they just want a game.
Who knows you maybe able to build a good side by going there as a group.

Paralowie would be the most confused you win a flag in C5 and then go down to C6.
On the upside for them they get to play some triple headers now and they would be dusting of a place in the trophy cabinet for another flag in the C grade competition.

What the go with Hectorville with all 2.15pm starts what do they all work Saturday morning? Or is it just the umpire? (No I'm not from Tiger land )

Good on those teams who didn't care about the early morning start Plympton, Elizabeth, Brahma lodge, Adel Lutheran & Hope Valley who didn’t seem to care what day, or time they play just as long as they played "Good on the boys from the valleys" maybe you could show the boys from Daly oval a few things about being flexible for the competition.

Yeah about half the side has, add to the matter the Agrade has lost about 12 players from last year the club probably thought it had no choice

Soft! I suppose u gotta find a balance of us 'Youngish' guys that wanna play every week and respecting the older players that like a break. So yeah i guess a bye will be ok. Gotta look after the veterans ;)

I agree. I know a couple of the Hectorville C grade guys and they dont seem to be too club orientated. Would be good to have the triples at Daly oval, think its a great place to watch footy. My daughter loves the playground too.

If memory serves me correct they cant play on Daly oval b4 12 for some reason ..think it could be juniors school thingy but dont quote me.. couple of years ago when we were in same div they didnt play triples headers against us but did play earlier 12.15 to see the A's

One problem with this............. Where do Flinders Park play??? :D
I do agree we would love to play as high as we can. We did apply for Div7 Div7 res but again we were knocked back i think. We just want to play as good a comp as possible as it makes the club a heap stronger. It's not all about easy flags!!!!

And they still have Salisbury West in the draw. But 100% they dont have a side. So they still have some fixing up to do yet

depends if Westies have withdrawn the side or not - they might be telling people but if they dont tell the SAAFL they will stay in it

Good point. I believe they will receive a $1000 fine if they dont withdraw before a certain deadline? Anyone in the know tell me if this is still the case?

The problem with an 8-team is the uneven nature of the draw. 8 teams doesn't fit into 18 rounds nicely.

10, 9, 9 at least creates three even fixtures.

And each club has to play 2 clubs 3 times in the season. Great disadvantage if those 2 games are against stronger teams! Advantage if they are against Bottom sides! So who plays who 3x??? In that case i would rather the bye
