Not condoning what happened, but I really don't see what is to be gained by naming individuals in the articles.

are you saying that because one of yours was named? ;)

I actually don't have an issue with it- dont be a hero and you won't get called out for it

I tend to agree.

Just trying to get people onside in what has been a shitty week personally hahahah…..need some positivitity in my life right now :D

BTW I completed my golden trio, kicked a goal on the weekend in my second game meaning I have now scored a try in senior rugby, scored a goal in senior soccer and scored a goal in senior footy....I will retire a happy man......will be even happier if I can complete the quadruple premiership trek of a senior flag in soccer, rugby, cricket and football :D :D :D

Ladder after Rd 13
24 - Elizabeth
18 - Trinity OS
18 - St Pauls OS
14 - Blackfriars OS
08 - Marion
------------------------

08 - Rosewater
06 - Para Hills
06 - Ingle Farm
02 - Mawson Lakes

Round 14
Rosewater vs Marion: The battle for 5th place.
Ingle Farm vs Elizabeth
St Pauls OS vs Mawson Lakes
Trinity OS vs Blackfriars

Battle for 5th:
Marion - ROS (A), ML (A), PH (H), BOS (A), ELZ (H)
Rosewater - MAR (H), PH (A), BOS (H), ELZ (H), SPOS (A)
Para Hills - BYE, ROS (H), MAR (A), ML (A), BOS (H)

Para Hills wont win enough, they'd have to win their next 3 after the bye (possible, but unlikely), and make up 4%.

Marion look well placed with matches to Mawson Lakes and Para Hills at home to come, finish with two tough games which may impact percentage. This week's game vs Rosewater could well be the decider on who gets 5th.

Rosewater have a very hard finish, need to win this week at home, and then account for Para Hills.. even then, percentage behind Marion, would need to ensure they're competitive at the least in the remaining 3 games.

Relegation:
Mawson Lakes take one spot, Ingle Farm and Para Hills battling desperately to avoid the second.

Farmers face 2x top 3 sides in the next fortnight, that alone might see the wheels totally fall off, then have Mawson Lakes before hosting another top 5 side in Trinity OS. The bye in the last round ruins any further chance to gain points.

One win might be enough to get ahead of Para Hills, should they only win one more also. Not a lot in the percentage at the moment - Saturday's loss for Ingle Farm badly hurt them.

Could well come down to Round 18, and the Farmers cheering on the Hounds to do a serious number on the Roos to keep themselves in this grade.

Whoever gets relegated will have a tough job of trying to return to Div6, Grand Finals dont come around very often and there may be some heartbreak for some years.

How many teams get relegated in D5 and D6, assume 2 go up from D7, D6 and D5?

Whats peoples thoughts on clubs sacking coaches mid year or coaches advising the club they wont be continuing the following year, is it in the clubs best interest to move on straight away or do you keep the coach for the rest of the year?

I think, in order to fill up D5 to 10 teams there will only be 1 relegated from D5 and D6

You're assuming the league wants 10 teams in each division.. ;)

Looks like Farmers are going down. Would require a miracle Saturday - do a number on Mawson Lakes and hope Para Hills get thrashed by Marion.

Sadly though appears Marion have checked out for the season, Mawson Lakes will be buoyed by the weekends result, and the Farmers just cant kick a score.

Obviously a disappointing period for the club, only winning the 12 games in the past few seasons, and a return to D7 almost certain after being in D5 not that long ago. Shame when you look at other results and there are plenty of Farmers lads running around at nearby clubs.

Watched Elizabeth v TOS on the weekend. Massive crowd at Argana Park. Looked like some sort of fundraiser happening over near the clubrooms that had a hell of a lot of support. Elizabeth too good second half.

Warm day, sun out, drink in hand, but no BBQ. :(

Doesnt matter, 8 team comps next year means they'll end up in the same grade anyway.

Suspect they'll drop an extra division if 8 team comps come in.. i.e. Div 8.

Club rankings end of season becoming more important now, got to try to finish as high as possible.

Or finish lower and rebuild.

Nothing gains confidence or gets numbers back at the club like wins and you can only play against those you're put against.

Singing the song 13 times in four years does nothing for the morale.
