Could be a seriously costly mistake - massive that games difference could be for making the finals or even potentially getting relegated now

Why haven't clubs learnt that Country Champs is not a green light for playing blokes on permits even if they played with you in previous seasons. Unley and at least one other club lost points 4 or 5 years ago for doing it and the league has regularly reminded clubs about this since. Just because the old SportsTG and now PlayHQ system might allow the permit to go through doesn't mean the laws allow it. If you are silly enough to think it's an accepted practice then why don't clubs bring in blokes from Country clubs every week in the comps where a club has a BYE every week. They don't because you can't do it.

Any updates on the Westminster fiasco? Surely it needs to be sorted out with a final decision reached. Clearly it will have significant ramifications one way or another for teams battling to avoid relegation and also a possible finals spot.

Reading The Update this morning, I would suggest an appeal isn't on the cards...

"Facilitating a permit on PHQ is not the same as applying for a permit to be auto approved as against having it approved by The League as per eligibility described in the Rules and Regulation.
Be under no illusion, your club will lose premiership points and or score as well as wear the fine from any match if these regulations are breached."

If a club had a player who played last weekend in the SANFL reserves and has played the previous 4 or 5 games is there any way they can play this weekend in the Adelaide Footy League? I was always under the impression that if you played SANFL the week before a SANFL club or league bye you were unable to come back and play at your local club?

Why the hell did you need to ask this question in four different threads?

Ridiculous that you’ve asked so many times. But yes they can play regardless how many league/reserves/under 18’s game they’ve played. They just can’t play 17.5’s on the Sunday if they played for their league club on the Saturday

I don't think that's right WUB. We had a player who played all games with us and then played the last 2 games with South Adelaide reserves and he wasn't allowed to play with us yesterday.

25 games is the magic number. If you've played that many games since turning 13 for your AdFL club then you can play for your AdFL club the week after playing League or Reserves if the SANFL club has a Bye. Of course the SANFL club needs to also allow it. The Boss reminded clubs of that rule this week so I'm confident all clubs followed the rules.

Down the hill is correct. As long as there is is permission in writing lodged with the ADFL from the SANFL club

CBC B Grade rocking up to GGFC today with only 16 players despite their C Grade having a bye is baffling.

CBC forfeited in C Grade on Saturday. Are they going to be able to field a team for Saturday as the first week of finals for C6?
