Just out of curosity The Adelaide City Council "Do not" look after Pulteny Grammer Oval only around it. Its looked after by contractors who prepare the ground for play. Just happened to be driving there today in fact and it didnt look too bad despite the heat and lack water etc.

Certainly Droppie, Salisbury West look like they will feature in finals for cricket, therefore there wont be any trials held there, Smithfield and Eastern Park aren't fairing too well atm, more than likely to be at one of thier grounds.

When we first got them back in the 90's, they were superb, we had planned to host plenty of night games, we lost the first one to Elizabeth and canned that idea, never played an A grade night game for points since.

I used to love playing under lights. Only ever played trials though. It's definately a different experience.
Especially a good idea when it's on a Saturday or Friday night.

I remember playing Centrals development games underlights at Smithfield, the lights covered the ground pretty well. Wasn't the safest of environments off-field though LMLightning McQueen wrote:Drop Bear wrote:Lightning McQueen wrote: That's generally what we do, our lights are pretty good, the globes could do with replacing but still get the desired result. Friday nights shag us, we have a lot of Holden and Bridgestone workers, at least they are good to train under, we've had Centrals play some underage games there and when their oval was in poor condition, they had there league team use our oval. The kids loved it.

In all seriousness, you guys should look to play senior night footy there, or at least some twilight games.

Opposed to the Salisbury nightlife?
We really need to get globes to have games there, they are pretty expensive, there is a bit of a dark pocket near the cricket nets. We have plenty of junior games there during the season. Friday nights are no good for us, they'd have to be played on a Saturday.
