Firstly it's early days and seasons can change quickly. When they got the opportunity I would expect that they had to weigh up their chances of making a GF versus their chances of winning enough games to stay up. If they felt they could beat a couple of sides twice and pick up another couple of wins along the way then this is the quickest way through the grades. In the end it was always a punt and the odds are probably stacked against them but good on them for having the balls to have a crack.

I think it has put them back a number of years for a return to div 1. Successive smashings kill a club and I can't see Kilburn recovering to at least avoid relegation.

I can't see them avoiding relegation either GFP, its a shame the decision for Kilburn to jump to Div2 was made so late as it never gave them time to recruit for such a big jump, they must find some quality recruits from somewhere quickly & regroup as a club as the hidings they are getting arn't going to help the players & club.

Another tough round....my tips are

Seaton - just at home
Uni - comfortably
Athelstone - comfortably
PNU - in a very close one
Eastern Park over Pemroke- comfortably if we play at our best. Spoke to some Seaton guys who had high praise for them however so may be on the improve and make it a tough one

Boozehound, you complained about the umpires when you had a draw, and complained about the umpires when you had a loss. Are you still going to have a whinge when you have a win this week?

what a mouth watering spectacle this saturdays saafl game of the round should be....PNU v PHOS @ PNU

where do you start, top spot up for grabs, weather forecast good, both sides looking like div 2 pace setters, macca v the weed, aston v his ability to recover from fridays hangover, balcony band v phos fans...
sure to be a cracker with a big crowd as the game will be recieving a fair bit of advertising (so im told)

looking forward to seeing how phos respond to the planned playing of several players in new positions.rumours are around that a certain pnu wingman is more than keen to move back to his full forward area of several years ago where he had great success.despite his time in the trainers room he looks reborn and invigorated ready to be the falcons difference maker.

OK, I'll bite

So Bill wants back at the front huh?, he's pushing 30 (in fact I think he pushed it earlier in the year, unless Im a year early  ) so playing on the wing with his feet in the condition that they're in is hardly going to be good for his game as he gets on in years, especially if we keep getting this wet weather. If Macca can squeeze down forward with Nicky somewhere, all the best to him.

Provided Weed sticks the dynamite up the PHOS boys and they play from go to woa, they should get over the line, they have been known to be slow starters. but I reckon it will be a close game.
