Very good performance by Modbury against Goody Saints and were unlucky not to get the points.... hawks played the better footy for 3 quarters 3 questionable/terrible decisions inside goody’s 50 resulted in goals. The only difference was in the ruck. To the credit off our 2 18 year old ruckman who are about 6 foot battled tirelessly against the 2 7 foot giants. Lost a key wingman in the 2nd qtr who was playing well and that hurt a bit also. The 22 point margin is flattering to the way Goody IMO.....

Some good signs for the Hawks and have another big test this week.

I recon we need clash names Footy Smart and seeing we where in div 1 first Salisbury North are the Hawks
at home games we are the Hawks at your ground you can be the Hawks How does that sound

The SAAFL will be advising the Modbury Football Club this week that they are to change their nickname effective forthwith. It appears they have been misrepresenting themselves for many years by using the "Hawks" as their nickname and have been found out.

Fantastic to finally get a win in the As on the weekend, good thing for us is its all the younger blokes that are doing a great job for us.

Great to have many past players back at the club on Saturday, a bit like old times. A couple of them enjoyed themselves, not sure that they've found their way home yet!
Made a fair bit of noise and probably swelled the bar takings too, great to see, should happen more often!
