Of course winning a premiership is the goal, as it is at every club. Just plenty of boxes to be ticked before we can even think of that.

Leave the spiders alone then!

Agreed plenty of boxes and work to be done before thought towards what could be occurs... it is only round 6 after all..

I watch U/16 Red football each week and the best sides in that comp would go close to knocking of Angle Vale on what I saw of them a few weeks back.
If you don't believe me go watch a game next Sunday.

Yeah, I've seen U16's and you are deluded.

Yeah right.
Could be a good exercise for your club.
Plenty of potential senior footballers there.

What are you on about?

You may find some future A grade footballers for your club.
You pluck 1 and you may get a few to follow.

Who said that. Really. Understand the conversation.
I used Angle Vale as an example of probably being rated as maybe the 5th best side in Div7 and would give an U/16 Red side a chance to knock em off. It is trying to be analogy to the standard of the comp from top 4 to 5 sides down.
It's not a slur it's just a fact.

Looks to me as though Angle Vale may be the second best team in the Div at the moment. They would smash an u16s team.

Would love to have juniors up and running at the club. The stumbling block at this point is finding a whole other bunch of volunteers to get it going.

Are people seriously comparing an U16's team to a Senior Div 7 side? Angle Vale in particular?

Angle Vale would smash the best U16's side in the state by 20 goals and probably leave half the team requiring x-rays. We're talking 15 year olds. 15!. Some of them might not even have hair in funny places yet!

U18's might be slightly different story but I wold still back a Senior side.

Unbelievable comment.

Totally agree Morell (did i just say that  ). We have 3 of our best u/16 playing senior football and none of them are looking like cracking a spot in the A grade. However i do agree on the gap from 6 to 7 as we have found out and i'm sure Mitchell Park would agree. Sometimes it's better for a club to face where they should be, go back regroup and use that as a spring board for future success. We have structured 2013 around Yankmans formula for success which surely can't go wrong ;) . Seriously, it is round 7 coming up and that is all anyone in A or B grade at IFFC is focussed on atm. Long way to go before anything is won or lost in 2013.

You don't have the best 3 playing OF,far from it.
With the exception of BN there are at least four ahead of the other two lads.
Two of them could quite comfortably hold an A grade spot.
Your in for a shock.

The D grade is travelling better than the A and B grade too, Esteban... based on your logic the D's would beat Henley A grade too.

On average, the "gap" between a median Div 6 side and median Div 7 is 20 goals. On average. I am sure IF, Houghton et al would be competitive but overall the difference in quality between D7 and D6 is much more than other divisions. Would be a few seasonal exceptions to the rule.

As an idea, I honestly reckon we have slightly better side this year that last yet look at the results.

No shock coming Beero cock. We would not be doing our job if we were not aware of what was in the U16's. BN and JB are the best 2 in the 16's and they would not make our A Grade ATM and would be 5th or 6th in line to come in. Yes they are great players, especially Jimmy. Maybe you not catching everything hiding in the bushes on a Saturday. Anyway, you have your opinion, and i'll hold it where i think it deserves to be.
