TBS, a team is playing away. Against a team that is full of speedy, talented midfielders. The home team kick a few quick goals, the crowd gets behind them. Momentum builds and they go on to win. There are a hundred reasons why the away team lost the game but I think you'll find being intimidated isn't one of them.

Yeah i agree, I dont think walkies were intimidated, however when put under intense pressure, as in that game, they fell apart. they need time and space to give to their strong forwards. Our tackling and defensive pressure completely shut them down that day, we just weren't able to bring that same pressure on saturday....

Umpires today in the Kilburn v Para Hills game were fantastic. I'm not sure if they were normal div 3 umpires as we've never had them before, but all the boys were pleased with how the game was umpired today. Umpires get told when they are shit, these umpires shold be told they were guns.

Was at the game yesterday shrek, and have to agree about the umps. They did give away a few soft ones but didn't ruin the game as they usually do. Kilburn looked very good and well drilled with Para Hills having no answers for wilson and brodhurst early. I thought menner did a pretty good job when he went onto wilson in the second half but kilburn just had too many winners all over the ground.

Hopefully we get those umps again. Our coach was away this week but we still had a good week on the track and everyone was disciplined during the game. The big test for us will be Walkies next week.

What happened with Iggies and Walkies yesterday? I expected Walkies to win but obviously Iggies have found some heart without the big man in the middle. What were the clearance stats orts?

Good to see some light at the end of the tunnel as far as umpires are concerned.
I'm one that will praise any umpire that is consistant & fair that looks after & rewards the player infront at all costs, its a shame we havn't got more of these umpires in our game today.
What were there names Shrek, i'll keep an eye out for these blokes.
Its great to see these umpires rewarded in the lower grades ( when perform ) & get given the opportunity in the A1s, its not so great when the A3 division then gets penalised by being handed the inconsistant ones ( that have no idea ) from Div1!

As we all know, SPOC's constitution does not allow for players to be paid by the club (there is one or two that get a little something something on the side tho), However, I hear from a reliable source that the constitution will be changed at the end of the year and the cheque book will be coming out!!!

Will make a huge difference as they are a very wealthy club, apparently used to own a hotel that they sold for 1.6 million......

Watch this space....

Looked alright. Hard to judge what kind of a finals side they will be as the game was umpired like a netball match.. Decisions went both ways but it was frustrating to play in and I'm sure frustrating to watch.

Should be a cracker of a game between Iggies and Flinders this week. I think it's fair to say Iggies have been a tad inconsistent so far and the result may depend upon whether they are on or not. They need to win a couple just to cement their spot in the five.

SPOC and Woody Sth is important for relegation as is PH and SW. SW might just be a chance against a Para Hills team lacking a bit of confidence.

B.H: SPOC old scholars are not necessarily the football club. If History means anything, the cheque book will stay in the bottom draw.
